The case is going ahead; a judge has considered the application for a summons and declared:
“Having considered all the relevant factors I am satisfied that this is a proper case to issue the summons as requested for the three offences as drafted. The charges are indictable only.
'This means the proposed defendant will be required to attend this court for a preliminary hearing, and the case will then be sent to the Crown Court for trial.”

Hooray! From the interview I heard on Today radio 4 he hasn't a chubby leg to stand on. The facts were put to him (surprisingly the BBC are good at that) and he repeated his lie in a forthright manner. Boris the Liar for PM?

I'm no fan of either of them, but Johnson is a long way behind Blair in the queue when it comes to going on trial for lying. Being inaccurate with figures, even if intentional comes a long way behind committing mass genocide and other war crimes in my book.

Yes - all the current crop of 'politicians' should be in Court with Boris, for they are all liars. Name one that isn't.

Yes - all the current crop of 'politicians' should be in Court with Boris, for they are all liars. Name one that isn't. Any leader who claims god told them to perform a particular action, and then went ahead with that action should not be leader. It's bullshit. Whatever your belief is, if you belief in a god that is fine, but no one in power should be invoking supernatural beliefs to make decisions. Utterly ridiculous. No one fucking told them to send anyone anywhere. They are literally making shit up.

Of course they don't believe in God, they just say that to appease religious nutters. The 4 above believe only in one thing - Money, and lots of it. Theresa May's husband's business is advising companies how to avoid paying tax - and just see how much it will cost you to hear one of Tony's 'lectures'.
Sometimes I wish religion was true and there was a Hell, because surely that's where scum such as the above will end up. Well, George isn't 'scum', he's just thick and did what Daddy told him to do. He's probably a nice chap down the pub, he just got caught up in Politics. The other three are Pure Evil.

If we're now prosecuting politicians for telling a lie, won't the courts get a bit full

"it’s a joke, everyone knew that the 350 miliion was a gross figure…. if it wasn’t clear to everyone they must have been locked in a basement. With the rebate it was less around 270 million. Still shit loads of cash. What a waste of court time."
"Hold on! We need that cash for HS2…don’t we ??! Biggest waste of cash. Spend it on improving regional railways, not on making it easier for Londoners to travel outwards from their shithole, and spread The Plague."
"I am now looking forward to similar prosecutions being brought against Remain’s £4,300 per household claim, Alastair Campbell’s dodgy dossier, George Osborne’s emergency budget, every time the Labour Party claimed there were just hours left to save the NHS, every Tory ‘Tax Bombshell’ calculation, and Corbyn’s pledge to “deal with” student debt..."
"I look forward to Brexit Party charmain Richard Tice suing the shit out of SNP MEP Alyn Smith lying that the party is a front for money launderers also."

JOHN CLEESE: LONDON IS NOT AN ENGLISH CITY ANYMORE
Monty Python icon John Cleese has stoked controversy by reiterating his belief that London is no longer an English city due to mass immigration.
In a tweet to his 5.6 million followers, Cleese said, “Some years ago I opined that London was not really an English city any more. Since then, virtually all my friends from abroad have confirmed my observation So there must be some truth in it.”
“I note also that London was the UK city that voted most strongly to remain in the EU,” he added.

If we're now prosecuting politicians for telling a lie, won't the courts get a bit full Nobody (including us) are perfect. It must be very difficult being a high level politician despite the fact they have to have a big ego to do the job. That’s why a (true) democracy will always be better than a dictatorship. When our illustrious leaders start to get out of control, there is a wave of people behind who can nudge them back. With a dictatorship (where the EU is heading) you will get shot for suggesting any nudging back.

"It's now obvious Man.City did not win the Premier League after all. If you add up Spurs, Chelsea and West Hams points it means London actually won by a country mile."

Boris Johnson has been ordered to appear in court over claims he lied by saying the UK gave the EU £350m a week.
The Tory leadership candidate has been accused of misconduct in public office after making the claim during the 2016 EU referendum campaign.
It is a private prosecution launched by campaigner Marcus Ball, who crowdfunded £200,000 for the case.
Mr Johnson’s representatives have called the case a “stunt” that is being “brought for political purposes”.
Perhaps both the Tory and Labour parties should be prosecuted for lying by clearly stating on their 2017 election manifestos that leaving the EU means leaving the Single Market and Customs Union?
