Not going to happen. New knee needed whatever else is going off, so scan cancelled. My friend had her second one done Wednesday, and is going home today Rog

Patty - has anything amusing ever happened to you in connection with a Rare Earth element? Having re read the list... Probably a few amusing incidents... But if we lose them cos of China shutting the door to us as well then we'll find a way

Minn kota outboards don't use neodymium magnets they use strontium ferrite. Nothing to worry about. A few small neos in the phone though. I can breathe easy then. PS having removed about 20m of fishing line from an angler last year when I was creeping along the Thames in stealth mode, and then having to remove same from the shaft seal, I have just line-proofed my motor - a large aluminium stockpot has been cannibalised to form a shroud, looks like something out of Batman. I'm going to try bolting pencil sharpener blades around the edge of the prop hub as a slicer. Pencil sharpener blades are more durable than razor blades and they have little bolt hole. Not sure if they are stainless though...

Wonder if a kitchen knife on a pole at bows might work. Cut the line before it gets anywhere near the motor.
Or some sort of rod angled down from bow as deep as the motor skeg which would pick up line and direct it onto a cutter.

easier to shoot any anglers observed near navigable water. June 15 is nigh - woe betide any anglers who mess with me.

I once had a boat called Slithy Tove - that was a real killer weapon.
