I assume there have been no reports of crowd trouble, for which we can be very grateful.
It is excellent news if two English clubs can play a major final abroad without issue, even if it was a dull game.
The rugby Premiership final was an amazing game, probably the best single game of the season, and exactly what a final should be.
Both teams deserve congratulations, but Sarries were worthy winners.

The football was an awful game. Like a pre season friendly.
I hate both teams.

I'm a City fan but was pleased to see Liverpool win, they deserved something for the season they've had. Anyway, better a northern team to get silverware than a softy team from darn sarf.

I dislike Man City. Lots do, the dodgy money and all that, I can understand it. I followed them from 1972 until 2007 when they were crap, always living in UTD's shadow. League cup in 1976 was all I saw them win.

I'm not a premier league fan (Rotherham just dropping back into league one) but I consider part of the 'dislike' of clubs these days, is built upon the fact that the players and managers are unconnected to the club, other than by the wages department. That and of course the need for a stretcher whenever somebody on the pitch has their hair messed up Rog

That and of course the need for a stretcher whenever somebody on the pitch has their hair messed up Rog I do agree regarding the disconnection. One of the reasons I stopped going. Along with high ticket prices, 'sanitation' of the game by ending tackling, attempting to turn into a 'family game'. I was close to obsessed during the late 70's and 80's, twice I went to every game home and away in a season, including cup games. Nowadays it's just the radio or t.v. There's still a bit of love for them, but nothing like it was.

My Dad used to say that when he went to watch Charlton Athletic in the 1930's, when they were in the top division, the players used to travel home on the same tram as the fans, and they were regarded in awe because they earned double the average factory worker's wage.

Lots woz different in them there days. Have to admit as a teenager climbing up to the top of the East Terrace and wondering about 75k fans safely watching a match (including my Grandad and Dad) was a bit of an eye opener. All changed now though.

Well, one of the world's premier sporting events starts this weekend, the women's football World Cup. I've got all the essential supplies in, beer, nibbles and a 45-gallon drum of Ralgex.

In the late 90s. We would go to a local night club and after every home game half the saints team were always in there.
Probaly why we were always fighting relegation.
