Penkridge, Staffs 2308 - rain coming down with cats & dogs & mice & hedgehogs! Mmmmmh, sounds like you will be able to make a tasty pie tomorrow morning. Have you got any pastry? If not, the shops are quite close.

Off to Berkshire tomorrow - even I am wondering if it is wise to head out in this downpour. I hear traffic zooming along on the motorway which is close by, however. The floods reported in the newspapers don't seem very serious yet.

No rain in the big smoke... However there are other things that can put a bit of a damper on a day...

At least us boaters (should) now be spared too many stoppages due to lack of water. It's been epic up here, probably the most rain I've known in a couple of days in nearly 6 years living aboard.

Pissing down in Banbury at 0915. I bet there's going to be a hosepipe ban next week.

Dry this morning in Middlewich. 09.40. Started raining just after 10 on the Middlewich Branch, half way through a 10 mile walk. Nice. At least it was the mizzly stuff rather than the proper rain we've had of late.

Came up from Aynho to Kings Lock this morning. Pissing down all the way. The board was just below red at Aynho Weir lock (green on Tues morning) and got under Nell Bridge with less than a foot to spare. Love boating.

No weather in east London. None at all. Just clouds and a bit of a breeze.
Quite shocking given the enormously great start to the year with wall to wall sunshine.
