CRT put a stoppage alert out on Thursday 11th of June to fix a faulty paddle that had been broken for 18 months. All sorted now evidently. ( not sarcasm or a joke, this is their fix). Is there a reason you do not wish to divulge the name of the lock? And the names of the CRT staff who did this'repair'? Just calling me a twat will not be deemed an appropriate answer. None at all. How the feck am I supposed to know their names you thick twat.

Notice: "A lock is not working so you can't go through it. We are not telling you where this fecking lock is you twats."

All this just gets attention for miss jenny. Publicity and arguement seeking bitch that she is. Surprised she's not used her common unhelpful response "Go Google". Potty mouthed name calling is the nearest you'll get to a normal rational answer. DON'T FEED THE TROLL.

U could always ask CRT which lock they repaired with a piece of blue rope/string whatever....if its on the canal u r on. If its not why bother? Some folks stress over such small things.

Looks a bit like the location of a no longer present side pond paddle on the Grand Union somewhere like Seabrook top lock. GU side ponds have been out of action for decades.
I don't think you would be able to do anything with blue string as the paddle would be too heavy anyway.
Is it a humorous reference to paddle maintenance failures by CRT? If so they should have used blue split film polypropylene rope not braided.

I think it's the trap door to Jenny's hole at Slapton lock.

This lock was left on Thursday as operational with this rope tied to the paddle. Lock 63 gu has been broken for 18 months. The way some of you idiots behave towards issues like this is why we are where we are with CRT. Wankers like Jim, mm and donkey are more interested in attention seeking than anything else, just look at their daily post count 😂.

Can't remember if there was a paddle out of action but main problem was leaking bottom gates which the closure was aimed to rectify.
Jenny would be better highlighting the problems sensibly rather than what he does - just my opinion...

I don't have any optimism about the condition of canals. I reckon its all going to shit. Sadly.
