I’ll be 60 on my next Birthday and I can honestly say this has been the best decade of my life so far. I'm 60 in September, and life is fine but I think it's definitely fair to say I did a hell of a lot more shagging in my 20s. Must admit, that was another surprise which came with getting older. There really is life beyond shagging. Speaking of which...what does Ricco think?

I’ll be 60 on my next Birthday and I can honestly say this has been the best decade of my life so far. I wake up every morning feeling glad that I am around for another day. I think if anyone is wishing their life away then something usually needs to change in their life. In my case the boat definitely saved me. It was a massive gamble at the time but looking back, it was the best step I ever took. I think the problem is that it’s sometimes difficult to see how bad things really are when you are stuck in a comfort bubble. Once you burst from that bubble and look back years later, it’s easier to see what the problems reallly were. Sorry, I’ve gone off on one again, but maybe it might help someone. Similar but opposite for me. I love living on boats and having several and playing with them but I often think my life could hav been much better if I had never discovered boats. Its going to be difficult to get away from them but could make a massive positive difference to my general wellbeing. It does need to be done at some point but it will be sad to do it Careful MM, you may be one of the rare examples of someone who has already found their true self. Anyway, what makes you think you’d be happier back on land?

My body started to whinge in my 50s! It’s the biggest con trick going.

Anyway, what makes you think you’d be happier back on land? Seems we are having quite a philosophical thread. I'm with you, I thought Andrew was contempt at life and happy with oneself and its surprising to hear that may not be the case, what it does show is people are very different on the inside and are excellent at hiding stuff. MM, i hope you take this post the right way as you may be quite happy. I am very happy with me I am completely able to enjoy silence and my own company. I'm not sure if the having hour long conversations with myself is normal though but as much as I love company and I am very content with my own company.
