Go on then; it’ll be useful for some I’m sure - giz us yer tips for cooling a boat (without air con!) I’m on the deck in the shade with my feet on a wet mat! Wet towels hung in the hatches - not too bad really! 🥵 I spent an hour in Oxford library which is 'air conditioned' Freeloading immigrants at its best! 👍 I presume you’ve contributed to the ‘Council Tax Fund’ for all the facilities you've used!👍😉

The mutt has gone to sleep with her head in her dinner bowl, too hot to eat much but it might cool down and there is no way I'm giving up half my dinner without some sort of protest!

Soft wusses. Wednesday morning I had to lay loft insulation, took 2 hours, all clothes absolutely sodden with sweat when I finished. Yesterday cleaned and polished a hall floor, aided by the excellent drying weather, was able to do several coats, dried so fast we could start again as soon as one coat was on. Driving round in the car yesterday it hit 36c a couple of times. Sitting in the garden last night I set the hosepipe rose to mist, pointing it up in the air near us. That was lovely, cooled the air around us.
