I'll let you have that one. Its quite an extreme interpretation but I am very relaxed in the floating electric beer drinking platform currently idling down the River in the sun so am happy to accept it.

No. Not give up boating. Definitely leave crt water and possibly (?) Give up living on a boat.
The latter being somewhat less probable than the former.

Its time for change plus I have had some unpleasant conflicts around my residential mooring with CRT which one of my boats is on. It has confirmed a suspicion I had which is that yes the idiots are in charge now. This won't change. I've always had good things to say about crt in the past but CBA with it any more to be honest. My mooring contract is being ended when I am on the correct berth with a postal address and council tax payments for the last 6 years. As NigelMoore hinted they are very keen for people not to have any security. You get ten times more security living on the towpath. Load of shit I do not need

Don’t tell anyone though, the buggers might nick the idea...

Its actually quite amusing because the emailed notice of termination said that if they have to remove the boat they will bill me.
Only problem being that the mooring is my only address... and they are specifically refusing to recognise that despite it having been the case for 6 years.
Oh dear.

Make sure it’s all documented if you want to go for it.

We have been hopping and re-hopping with a Happy Daze narrowboat since about Banbury or Napton. Can see it right now from the bridge in Wallingford. Here's a pic from where we stand (Happy Daze not included): Boat House pub, Wallingford.

Very cryptic. Kensal green offside moorings and a really cool mushroom vent. You did well recognising the location from that tightly cropped photo. This is a wider view: And a better clip of the name, with the hammock slung underneath, complete with occupant, arms & legs dangling – The vent is rather bizarre and out of proportion, nobody knowing quite when and why it came to be installed. Seems it was some tenant around the turn of the century, without the owner knowing.

I came across this picture a while back. I thought to myself that if I ever owned a boat where such a name and picture could be applied I might use it ray-portrait by mudlarker2, on Flickr
