You are right. There are of course plenty of places to moor. Except below BOA lock which is where we like because we try to get close as possable to the park. I wasn't implying anything about cc'ers but this time of year, every local hire boat is out. That's about 7 fleets(I won't include others as they won't be able to get here) and i suppose like us all the marina boats start coming out to play. It does get congested, which is why we like to go the other way. We won't let it ruin our holiday but Bath gets a bit tedious after a while. Maybe we will get to Bristol. If it helps, we have just done Reading to Bristol and are on our way back now. No real problem mooring anywhere. BoA we got in by Tithe Barn, but plenty of room a bit further on also. Above Bath Locks was busy but loads of space on the River. Would be nice to moor below Pulteney bridge, but for some inexplicable reason this has been prohibited. We have had no issues with the restrictions at either Caen Hill or the summit. Pounds from summit to Wooten Rivers were low, but we draw 32 inches and got through ok. The cmers issue was nowhere near as bad as we had been led to believe, although Bath to Bathampton on tickover a little slow going. Great Bedwyn got busy due to boats queuing for the bi weekly crossing, and the limited amount of mooring, but apart from that everywhere else has been fine. Having said all that, we do aim to find a spot by lunchtime, then stop for the day. The cmers are not a problem. Tythe barn is where we go to as there are two parks there. Have you gone back over croften?

Bone idle fits best, not that it's any of your business. Did you not mention that you live off DHSS/DWP money? Do they pay your CRT licence and mooring fees too? How nice... a life of luxury at everyone else's expense. No, that's just your nasty malignant imagination grasping at straws again. Independent means, hard earned. You are the one happily holidaying away your life in a country you contribute nothing too other than your noxious unfounded Daily Mail style slurs of which the quoted post here is just one of thousands you post on here.

Did you not mention that you live off DHSS/DWP money? Do they pay your CRT licence and mooring fees too? How nice... a life of luxury at everyone else's expense. holidaying away your life in a country you contribute nothing too Some weeks of my life - the rest spent working and contributing to society, not just in labour but also with money, much of which is taxes of one kind or another. In the UK we contribute: CRT licence, boat insurance, boat maintenance costs, mooring fees (£2131 this coming year), BSS fees, everything we buy (ie. food from shops, pubs & restaurants) plus VAT on it all. What do we take out? Err... yes, we have used the roads, but part of the cost of a rental car is Road Tax. We also buy petrol and diesel, a big proportion of which is tax. We BRING money into the UK, and we leave WITHOUT most of that money. We have supported many various businesses. I contribute towards Finland's welfare state and economy, and as far as I know you haven't been forbidden to enjoy holidays in Finland/the EU or anywhere else Finland sends financial foreign aid. Now... your excuse for not displaying a valid CRT licence is what, exactly?

Just had an update and except for wed and fridays the locks will be open from 10 till 3.
So we will be able to head over to hungerford/newbury.
I also believe the hungerford water issues have been rectified and no new news of any pounds being emptied.
So ff we go, well as soon as i can force the warranty people to get us a car

How interesting... Bell Bottoms has just changed 'her' post, swapping it for what lollygagger posted. Within the past 6 minutes.
Why did you do that Bell Bottoms?
I smell a phoney.

Actually naughtyfox, I was trying to make my post neat in containing what lollygagger had said into his quote box, but couldnt figure out how to do it, resulting in me deleting the spoiled BBCode post and reposting it as I had originally done. I actually quoted lollygagger to who my post was in reply to, why your post was quoted I have no idea? Ultimately I do not care what you think about me, I do not have to answer or justify myself to you either. So, to quote lollygagger above, Do one maggot. lol. Haha wasn’t it you just a day or so ago, berating us for arguments and bad language? Didn’t take long for you to join in the fun!

Although as a person I think you are a great chap
on the internet you sometimes come across as a right twat
what is it with you and new posters ?
You have had a go at nearly every new joiner
Some people don't want to open up to strangers and prefer to keep their identity and locality quiet
If you think someone is a sock puppet fine but you don't have to jump all over them ...... just wait and if they are, then sooner or later they will be exposed.

Is that aimed at Foxy or Nick?
Nick was the first to make a 'call' on the new poster.
Other than that I agree with your post.
