And as my mother used to say "two blacks don't make a white". There wasn't an ounce of racism in her but I bet that would be viewed as a racist comment these days. Back then that was possibly ok, but now it is a racist comment. If she were not a racist then she would not say it today. Standards have slipped in this 'modern world'. "There's a certain line between ballsy entrepreneurship and utter soulless degeneracy." 3:27 -> 4:50

Back then that was possibly ok, but now it is a racist comment. If she were not a racist then she would not say it today. Strangely enough she died 4 years ago today (uncertain date it might have been the 12th she was not contacted on 11th or 12th but found on the 12th). She was a bit old fashioned but definitely not racist. I think you are wrong to assume that people using old fashioned expressions are racist by definition. That's too simple. If you are sensitive to others feelings, and if you have been told an old fashioned expression is no longer what it was, and is now considered racist, then why would you use it, putting aside the times you just forget. Added. - of course if no one has told you, then itβs not your fault. My mum when angry would on occasion call someone a tosser, upon βquestioningβ she did not understand the current meaning and as she rarely used it no one told her.

Off with you to Birmingham to tell the Islamist worshippers that is is simply 'not on' to protest about the teaching of LGBTXYQZ in their local schools. They are hurting the feelings of homosexuals with their insensitivity.

'Threat laden welcome' @romans ... really ? If you considered that threat laden I can only apologise, it wasn't my intention ... and I'm struggling to see the threat. Notwithstanding I was genuinely welcoming you to post EXACTLY what and how you wish. It's entirely up to you the 'what and how' bit. You're perfectly entitled to hate everybody ... it's never stopped TonyDunkley posting Rog

Came across as a very good first posting to me - someone not afraid to take the goat by the horns and kick it in the nuts. But then he did apologise so I will take 4 points off.

Plenty of racist terms still around, just that the 'got no purpose in my life, so I think I'll feel offended on behalf of others at any possible opportunity' crew haven't got round to 'calling out' those who use these terms. I guess anyone using the term 'blackmail' or who describe themselves or others as 'whiter than white' is a vile racist, and they are living on borrowed time, as regards being a respected member of society.
