We overtook a widebeam this morning which has an orange light flashing. Moored up and itβs passed us, still flashing away. Not a work boat just a run of the mill widebeam. Does it have some significance?

Beware of self-important dickhead onboard perhaps?

Does it have some significance? This widebeam; did it have some large desk fans on the stern and a bit of rubber around the hull? Hovercraft An air-cushion vessel when operating in the non-displacement mode shall, besides a masthead light forward, (plus a masthead light abaft if longer than 50 m) sidelights and a sternlight, exhibit an allβround flashing yellow light (faster than 2 flashes per second). www.sailingissues.com/navcourse10.html

Just to draw attention.
I saw a boat moored up with vehicle hazard triangles on towpath at each end.
Its amazing how they just grab attention and make you think. Hoping for people to slow down I guess. Might also help with cyclists its possible.

I'm assuming at this point it had no significance other than to say 'here I am'.
The grown ups have offered nothing (as it wasn't a hovercraft).

It means 'no overtaking' . Doh ! Rog I thought it meant the opposite, you can overtake it on a double white line as long as it's safe to do so, same as a bin lorry. They're coming out to paint the double white lines on the water next week.

My green light on my solar controller flashes when it is very sunny and the batteries are fully charged, do I need to change the antifreeze, the oil or my trollies. Will it stop when there is an R in the month?
