Now if I got on a train with 6 donuts, and got off still with 6 donuts, where would I be? Still up your own arsehole? Have you not worked the answer out?

Is it time yet to say,"Shut that door"? Larry Grayson (1923-95) spent decades working the club and cabaret circuit before finding fame first with his own TV show Shut That Door in 1975, and later as the presenter of the BBC family show The Generation Game. A drag artist as well as a comedian, he was a master of high camp; "Shut that door" was his catchphrase, so it was inevitable that he would record a song with that title. Credited to Worth/Peacock, it was released on York Records in August 1972, when he was on the verge of becoming a household name. The B-Side was "Slack Alice," one of the characters he created for his comedy act. As might be expected "Shut That Door" is slightly risquΓ© in the double entendre department, and it is surprising it didn't fall foul of the BBC censor.

Came past your mooring yesterday afternoon but you were not there, busy dodging sofas I guess up the cut a bit stopped at the lime kilns last night lovely pint or two of flaming meg, shame about the food, twice Iβve stopped there now to eat and been disappointed both times... will keep stopping for the ale though! Tis a pub that divides opinion. Some in Nuneaton sweat by it, some at it... Is the air conditioning quite poor?

Wow.. you remembered! π Wrist has been ok, but it seems that I have some poxy degenerative arthritis all over... it hasnβt been a good year! Came past your mooring yesterday afternoon but you were not there, busy dodging sofas I guess up the cut a bit Β stopped at the lime kilns last night lovely pint or two of flaming meg, shame about the food, twice Iβve stopped there now to eat and been disappointed both times... will keep stopping for the ale though! Sounds like we would have just started the Atherstone locks! Tuesday night in the Kilns is acoustic night, some interesting characters roll in from around 8.30 onwards.. inc me and tβother half - and even me old mum occasionally! (I promise you will never hear me sing tho!)

Have a great Tuesday night!
If you know a man called Kev on a boat I think is called Tabitha who moors where you are, lampini, please give him my heartfelt thanks.
He phoned then gave me the number of a mobile mechanic when I was in trouble this weekend who got me out of a bit of a pickle (i.e. engine wouldn't start!) today.
Changed my opinion of these parts!
Judge not, etc...
Thank you, once again, to a random boater willing to help.
Met x

I do know Kev on Tabitha indeed - I shall be happy to pass on your thanks! Lovely boat too... we had a snoop round it before he bought it when it was on brokerage π₯° So glad you got it sorted! Think he still moors at Trinity in Hinckley, he was working there for a while I think. Itβs about 45 mins north of us.. heβs always chugging past and always has a big smile and a wave..

Now if I got on a train with 6 donuts, and got off still with 6 donuts, where would I be? It's taken me ages but I think I may have finally worked this out. Is it None Eaten?
