There isn’t a poetry section so ‘POlitics’ is the closest I could get. Sorry I’m rubbish at poetry...doesn’t even rhyme...
FREEDOM
Freedom to feel the sun and morning dew on your face.
Freedom to cuddle your children and hug your friends.
Freedom to smell the scent of flowers and sea ozone.
Freedom to hear the call of birds, music and waves crashing against rocks.
Freedom to taste the fruits of nature’s offerings
Freedom to see the beauty of the land, sea and sky.
Freedom to roam in the countryside.
Freedom to say what we think, and learn from our mistakes.
Freedom to chose between right and wrong.
What cost, freedom?

Freedom to cruise on the watery threads left behind by the relentless progress of the human race.

If you value freedom don't, whatever you do, ever consider voting for a political party that claims to be socialist.

Can you not give it a rest? you are clearly very worried that regardless of what remoaners in parliament do we will still leave! get over it we will leave But we really might not. Tory detractors and remainers are having a good laugh at Boris' failure to win the same vote that May lost three times. But what else can he do? He has to take a strong no-deal stance because that's the only space in the political landscape left for him. That is why he has announced sure-fire popular policies like stiffer sentences for crims and more police - to bolster popularity. So its only natural that he's going for an election - its his last move. Attempting to continue with the present 'hand of cards' is impossible. Similarly, Corbyn is trying to avoid a flash election for now because he wants to get leaving on a no-deal basis off the table before any general election, despite the fact he's been banging on about wanting an election up till now. So hope that a snap election occurs before the bill currently going through the upper house is accepted into law. Because I reckon you can forget it otherwise. The tories could easily lose the next general election to a lib/labour alliance. Don't forget the jocks get to join in on that, and its a no-brainer where the majority will go. The other major factor (as I see it) is that the issue now has a far higher profile in the portion of the electorate that previously didn't give a fuck. I'll make a prediction: a much higher percentage of the electorate will get off their bums at the next general election than in the referendum. I think it could be a new record, actually.

Yeah, just the sort of thing you're liable to yell as your intestines spill all over the table.

Having ones intestines spilled over a table, presumably after having been beaten in some sort of duel, seems improbable.
Why would you be beside a table at this point?

One of the few historically accurate scenes in the pile of...fiction..that was 'Braveheart' was where Wallace was hung, drawn, and quartered at the behest of Edward II. It must have been a shocking spectacle, just as it was intended to be.

One of the few historically accurate scenes in the pile of...fiction..that was 'Braveheart' was where Wallace was hung, drawn, and quartered at the behest of Edward II. It must have been a shocking spectacle, just as it was intended to be. William Wallace was gutted on 23 August 1305. King Edward I died 7th July 1307. Wrong King, nemesis. "Wallace evaded capture by the English until 5 August 1305 when John de Menteith, a Scottish knight loyal to Edward, turned Wallace over to English soldiers at Robroyston near Glasgow. (The site is commemorated by a small monument in the form of a Celtic cross.) Letters of safe conduct from Haakon V of Norway, Philip IV of France, and John Balliol, along with other documents, were found in Wallace's possession and delivered to Edward by John de Segrave. Wallace was transported to London, lodged in the house of William de Leyrer, then taken to Westminster Hall, where he was tried for treason and for atrocities against civilians in war, "sparing neither age nor sex, monk nor nun." He was crowned with a garland of oak to suggest he was the king of outlaws. He responded to the treason charge, "I could not be a traitor to Edward, for I was never his subject."

Edward II died in a similarly painful way. You can look that one 'up' for yourselves!
