Been very pleased with two performances by the squad so far.
Two bonus point wins (as should have been expected) and no injuries is a great start.
The Argentina v Tonga game on Saturday will be particularly interesting now ... Tonga are a tough team and Argentina whilst having a much more talented squad, HAVE to win after losing to France.
The game will give us a good steer as to what we may expect in 9 days time when we play them.
Things seem to be going well, and it seems a very happy camp.
I have great hopes of reaching the final ... and if we can it's a fifty fifty chance against any team.

The two games so far have basically been walkovers so far Iβd say. I watched NZ against SA and it looked like a different game. I canβt see past those two final wise, unless they have to play each in a knockout round before. I do hope England make the final as it will be a great way to celebrate the end of stoptober.

The two games so far have been against tier two nations. The real competition starts now for us with games against Argentina and then France. Both are capable of beating us, but I hope (and believe) we can deal with them. I believe we have a top class squad. Trust in fast Eddie Rog

France have utterly brilliant, mercurial individual players ... but aren't a great 'team'. They can be unplayable, but rarely, so I think we'll be too strong and controlled for them. Argentina have improved massively since joining the rugby championship, playing NZ, Aussies and SA on a regular basis. But I am looking forward to seeing their performance on Saturday morning against Tonga. I am quietly confident we'll beat both teams ... but I was pretty confident in 2015 ... right upto the moment we lost our 12 point lead in the Wales match and went on to crumble. You never can be sure, which is what makes it such fun Rog

The Irish half of Ali is currently not happy.

I've just been looking at the results and all I can see is England being beaten by Wales and Italy. Am I looking at the wrong thing?

Best thing with this tournament would be to write down the results in advance then just get on with the semi final and final.

Uruguay beat Fiji utterly against predictions and standings. Japan beat Ireland fair and square despite all expectations and world standings. The levels of fitness, commitment and passion are beginning to even out, which is great for the game. I'm glad Clinton Cool knows who's going to be in the last four ... several international rugby coaches are currently sweating on this It's been a terrific competition so far. Rog

Great result and in places a good performance by England. Really pleased ... played three ... won three with three bonus points. Creating good tries and playing with discipline so far. Couldn't have hoped for better at this stage. Onwards to France Rog

England v France next Saturday at 9.15 am ... the final pool match.
Really pleased big Joe came back into the camp ... but Lewis Ludlham, Courtney Lawes and Piers Francis are performing really well in the squad.
Saints should be back on it this season.
