It may be anathema to some, we don't empty the bottle in one go. I use vacuvin wine corks, so we can just have one glass of an evening (or half for swmbo cos of her meds). Suck the air out of the bottle and the wine will keep for ages. vacuvin.com/products/wine-saver/

The quality of my snooker suffers when I am not drinking alcohol. I guess alcohol settles my nerves. We met you in June. If your nerves are still bad after 4 months then I guess we did our worst. Scarred for life.

we get offered a lot of junk mail offering special deals from wine dealers and wine clubs. The latest one was from the Sunday Times Wine Club. It turned out that their "special introductory offer" for new members cost 40% more than the regular price for members for the same mixed case.
I don't do wine - doesn't agree with me and leaves my mouth dry - but SWMBO has tried all the usual outlets and has found that Aldi do excellent wine; once she finds a nice one she immediately orders several cases to be delivered to the house.

The quality of my snooker suffers when I am not drinking alcohol. I guess alcohol settles my nerves. After the first pint, the force is with you, you relax and trust your aim and cue action which are still sober. After the second/third you're too relaxed and your aim/action goes wobbly. I'm not very good at snooker TBH, 4 or 5 consecutive balls is probably my max.

So much (dis)respect - you can't even be bothered to remember/check to whom you're referring/addressing........... Happy holidays - remind me where you're likely to be next week, please!

What do you mean I don't know whom I am addressing? I've got you down as a BAT, not as FAT. I am referring to the rather portly Ianali. No panic on your behalf, we are a million locks from your BAT cave, down South on the K&A, lodged between the murderous, thieving 'Travellers' of Theale and the unlicenced hippies clustered like moths around Bradford-on-Avon. We shall be visiting neither this trip.

Used to hang out here in the early 90s, cheese sarnie and a cup of tea from the old women behind the hatch..
