He hit us coming out of a lock on the Oxford a few years ago - not deliberately, but just due to incompetence. I hope he loses his column (and income therefrom) over it.

Looks to me like the plastic boater nipped into that spot just to spite Mr Haywood, and filmed it all like those twits on 'UK Car Crashes' who accelerate into roundabouts just so they can toot at someone who hasn't had time to get out of their way and thus are 'in the wrong'.

Looks to me like the plastic boater nipped into that spot just to spite Mr Haywood, and filmed it all like those twits on 'UK Car Crashes' who accelerate into roundabouts just so they can toot at someone who hasn't had time to get out of their way and thus are 'in the wrong'. Common on the broads where hire boaters like to share their trips or blog their holidays. Anyway ive just tweeted mr haywood with a link to the video. I wonder if he responds. |

I am no expert... however I do think Mr Haywood could have avoided the boat had he chosen to do so...and yes I clicked on this link as my curiosity plus insomnia made it worthwhile. I wonder what he thought that aggressive piece of boating would solve?
