Never mind, clearly too complex. It is, and I've lost interest now.

MJG may have well been more crypic and said Mr Soup.
Geddit?
Donald Campbell.
Campbell's soup.
Greengrass, of Heartbeat fame, had a missing finger, and married Mr Campbell's widow.

Now that Martin has finally cut to the chase, I suppose my view is that I've always considered the US to be wrong to have assumed the role of "World Policeman" and to have gone around sticking its beak into the internal affairs of other countries and killing people, so broadly I would welcome any cessation of this behaviour.

As usual, Martin lit the blue touch paper and retired to a safe distance.
Here's a thought. Is the UK supplying Turkey with arms?
Is this true? "Turkey/Erdogan is holding 50 U.S. nuclear bombs hostage."
Probably not best to discuss this whilst having your nose hairs pulled in a Turkish barbers.
Have you seen Kate Middleton's new dress?

Thats fair enough, however once one becomes embroiled in a situation you dont just walk away. Dont get involved in the first place.

The problem is that these tribal conflicts are irresolvable, and so Trump faces the choice of either pulling troops out or keeping them there forever. The strange thing to me is that many right-on folk who have always opposed American intervention have suddenly done a complete about-face simply because it is Trump who is ending it. Had Obama taken the exact same action he would have been lauded as a wise statesman.

The idea that trump has a cosy telephone conversation with the dictator in Turkey, does some sort of dodgy deal and then people start dying. It makes a mockery of the fight against terrorism. Lets be clear its not the first time the kurds have been stabbed in the back by their allies, even the uk has done similar but it was before the internet age. The kurds have been fucked over since the deal done to carve up their lands between the neighbouring states.
