Dulcinea has a paloma water heater. Good bit of kit quite old but all ok except that the temp control knob does not turn.
I had this once years ago on a narrow boat and sorted it.
Research indicates wd40.
The temperature control is actually just a water flow valve.
It is seized good and proper.
Just thought it was worth putting it on here to gauge opinions then I'll hit it with a really big hammer and get another one.

I'd strip the valve down to decrap it. Worth a go.

I had been considering that. good idea!
Rather like the rest of the boat it is new but from the 80s.

Soak the valve in diesel for 24 hours.

My last boat had one of the curved case ones. This one is a rectangular case, newer, probably the same gubbins inside. A vague recollection, the spindle of the tap is held in with a plate and a couple of screws. Undo them and Robert's your auntie's husband.
