!Blinking heck Jim, thats a bit course isnt it? You’ve let both this forum and yourself down! 🙄 You ought to be jollywell ashamed of yourself! 👎 I think we should possibly cut Jim a bit of slack here, it hasn't been the best of weeks for him- The Conservatives elected by such a landslide that it will likely take Labour at least ten years and probably a lot longer to stand any chance of attaining power, and on top of that all chance of remaining in the eu has completely evaporated. It's no wonder he is feeling somewhat tired and emotional. Still, it doesn't do to gloat so we must all avoid gloating at all costs. Might be advisable not to gloat until Boris and Brexit produce some good? So far it’s all just promises of jam tomorrow.

Here ya go. This is it in a nutshell. Perhaps Labour might start listening to us now.
LABOUR’s Brexit policy was “profoundly offensive” to Leave voters, Wigan MP Lisa Nandy revealed to Sky’s Kay Burley as she blamed the second referendum policy for the party’s “shattering” election defeat.
Labour MP Lisa Nandy spoke to Sky’s Kay Burley following her party’s disastrous Thursday night election loss. Labour dropped 59 seats to 203, which is its lowest number of seats in a general election since 1935. The former shadow cabinet minister called Thursday night “shattering” and blamed the second referendum policy as the reason for the defeat.
She told Sky: “The public stopped listening to us quite some time ago, I’ve been saying that for at least a year, maybe longer.
“People just switched off from listening to us, especially because of the way that we handled Brexit.
“I’ve seen some talk that there was confusion over our Brexit policy.
“But honestly the people that came up to me in Wigan over the last couple of years were really really annoyed with us about backing a second referendum.”
Ms Nandy continued: “They weren’t confused about our Brexit policy, they knew what was going on.
“They could see that effectively what had happened was, we’d stopped listening to one half of the country.
“We’d subcontracted our policy to a lobbying organisation, the People’s Vote.
“We were simply following a line by that stage.”
The Labour MP added: “We thought that we could say to those people this is about more democracy, and that people need the right to decide.
“But to those people it was profoundly offensive because they are people, they did decide.
“And if it had gone the other way, it was very hard to imagine that it would have been different.”

To be clear I am not a labour supporter. As I said I see no reason for you to gloat over Boris winning until he does some things that improve our lives. He hasn’t yet has he? Brexit is the same. You may think it’s good but it could become a disaster. Nobody knows until it actually happens.

Sadly for ms Nandy, there is only one party that is trying to include northern working class people, and they won and don’t need her.

That is exactly why Corbyn lost the north & midlands because he doesn’t know what they want either.

I thought it was because the Tories are promising a wonderful future of cake and honey and lashings of quality UK real ale outside of the EU and all the furriners are going to run away back home with their tales between their legs.
And that sort of thing.
