I'd just run that on one battery and set the charger to the correct output. Sounds like a technical charger if it connects to a computer.
Handy to have a battery in case of shore power failure.

My educated guess was that I'd wreck the batteries one way or another so I did halve the number. I have history. I think you are right, while we're hooked up at least, ruining one at a time would be cheaper and serve the same purpose. Victron IIRC. In order to set via computer to known standard settings in the factory 10+ years ago, all the dip switches had to be set to 0. Because it was 10 years ago and the dip switches are still set to 0 I cannot know whether anyone including the installer has altered the factory settings with a laptop and aforementioned excruciatingly expensive cable. I'll have to bite the bullet. Then I'll start another thread as I puzzle over the settings.

How's this daft. Camper van. 12v fridge £500 Battery £120 Solar panel £120 Controller £80 10a CTech charger £80 Total £900
For what? Keep some cheap food cool.
2 years and about 10 nights away the battery is knackered and the solar panel doesn't work in the sun, unless you throw a bucket of water on it but still no power, just volts.
So £240 knackered components is £24 per night. Including camping fees I could have B&B'd.
This year I just paid for hook up. £3/night x 10 nights, £30. Feck solar. And that lets me use a cheap convector heater too, instead of the stupid £1200 (free to me) noisy overpowered petrol Eber.
12V sucks.
