An apology out of foxy? Youve got to be joking, blood out of a stone or plaiting fog would be easier. Part-apology given, as you made yourself out to be all virtuous but actually put the contents of your compost loo straight into the bins, untreated. As is specifically allowed by "the system". When you are doing your random flushes why not wash your hair, save the planet.

Thursday's are better in London as all the tosser zombie robots get bolloxed on Thursdays so it's all more generally exciting and interesting. The idea is to point out the hazard associated with pissed up idiots and suggest a swift return to the London pied at terre or the Henley based yacht. I don't do chauffeurs so she will have the keys to the Bentley. Hows the date go last night with Evangalinge then Mr Double O StudMuffin? 😍😍

She got a bit bored with me continuously explaining the minute details of my new dinghy cradle on the boat. Despite showing her a picture of it there was barely a flicker of interest so we just played with our phones for most of the evening. I really thought she would be impressed with this. Two old tyres, ratchet strap and a bit of rope. Dinghy can be craned in and out with outboard permanently attached. I was impressed anyway. Needs tidying though. But she wasn't. Not even turned on by the lovely little outboard motor. Oh well you can't win 'em all

I like oars. As for the dirt that's what comes of mooring under trees for a month.
the dinghy hull has been cleaned since that picture.

I quite like it. The pink was there already when I bought it a while ago. Yes it does look a bit wrong in a way but it's actually a really good little dinghy and fits in there nicely. The obvious alternative is a small rib but I really dislike inflatables.
If I could find a 7ft clinker dinghy (not a pram type with flat bows) that would be nice but they are like hen's teeth.
So grp it is. And at least it doesn't have a square bow. They really are ugly!! Maybe it would be better in battleship grey but the pink is quite good for a giggle.
If I could have my 8ft plywood hydroplane back that would be even better but unfortunately it fell apart in about 1990.
Maybe it would look better painted grey. Like the mothership.
I'm going to paint it grey. And add teeth to the waterline at the front. And a machine gun stand. A grey one.

I've seen several clinker dinghies on ebay lately. Damn, I wish I had the time to say 'lets build a hydroplane', I have the plans if you want them. And I'm sure the practicalities out-weigh the aesthetics. I'm the guy with a Yaris, remember.

A 7ft clinker dinghy with a pointy front for sensible money is a pretty rare beast. I mean a wood one not ply. The real thing.
As for the hydroplane I had considered a DIY build but I am about as likely to succeed in sticking one of them together as Mr Corbyn is to be a prime minister. So it's not really worth it.

Its not that technical, the biggest issue is 'where' not 'how'. Also I know a timber yard that sells real marine ply as opposed to the usual sub-standard crap and will also cut out shapes if a template is supplied.
What do you consider a realistic price for a clinker dinghy? Personally I want a Port-a-Bote but they really are pricey. And rare second-hand.

Definitely nowhere near a grand but then I guess they are quite desirable. I paid £450 for a Twinkle 10 in 1994. Really nice one. Sold later for £600 after I added a seagull outboard. That had shed loads of epoxy varnish which was a bit bad in a way. Porta bote look quite interesting yes, they plane with a 4 I think. Mind you they are incredibly ugly Seahopper is another one. I had one of them once as well. A bit tinny but quite amusing a bit like a Bickerton bike you're never quite sure if it is going to fold up when you don't want it to. So when are we making this hydroplane then ?
