Hi all Some may know i have a Norman 32 which i will extending to 44 foot by making the middle extension myself, unless i can get another Norman of same profile to do it then Cut n Shut it. BUT this question is about me making my own extension. It would go both ways i guess with either Cut n Shut or new extension. I have plans in my head on what i am going to do to make this work with the stringers and bearers etc to join the extension. So can anybody advise a local good structural boat/maribne engineer around Manchester i can go to with my plan to see what they can advice and think of it. Admiral Faffer

I'd not bother tbh, its common sense, hard work and sticky hands good video ... crap commentator Ny god that was painful to watch, got fed up 1/2 way through. Get the idea of there way to do it though Gazza. Now guys, if its doable then its a good project for me with a big gain for what i want. If i could find a 44+ cruiser NB then that wold bethe first stopto get one, i ave been looking for a long time and no able to find one. Unless any of you guys know of one or a make? And come on, hassle, you still dont know me to well. Its not just the end product. Its what i get from it when finished being loads of room on a boat i like the look of, and actually doing it i get a buzz from. Its my hobby The only thing that will stop me from doing this if a professional says its a no geor or if i think its going to cost more than i am happy to pay to stretch it. Admiral Faffer

Several years ago on the now defunct Dawncraft owners forum, there were tales of a few forty odd foot Dawncraft. There must be one or two still around. AFAIK the DCs had more headroom than the Normans.
