Is it a fluke that the US became a net oil exporter a couple of months ago?
Also they (US) are quite active in moving away from oil based road transport. Other than the Tesla diesel generator charging stations obviously.
So this Iran nonsense is to get Trump his second term, stick two fingers up at "oil rich regions" and let Israel use some of their high value weapons so they can replace them with some even higher value weapons from the US.
Is that what it's all about ?
And getting the boots on ground back to the good old US of A where they belong, with their families. Good for votes.
There are no flies on Trump. Pretty sure he knows what to do even if people think he's an idiot.
Just haul yer ass out of the goddam piece o'shit region and let them A-rabs get on with it.
God bless America.

He might have bitten off more than he can chew this time, reportedly Iran has put a $80 million bounty on his head.

It seems interesting that the recent hit was carried out by an unmanned combat aerial vehicle.
No risk to any American troops.
And they seem to have invited host nations to ask them to remove their soldiers, which is probably what they (US) want to do anyway.
Win win situation for the US.
I guess if Trump wants to use modern technology in combat then maybe Iran will wish to follow suit.
Is it time for someone to use a commercial drone to drop a hand grenade somewhere ?

The problem is they wont use drones they are to expensive, they will use brainwashed innocent civilians with suicide vests on to deliver load to target! advantage is if they cant get that target they will find another! As I said I honestly dont know where this will end

Oil is still king but not for long. It won't be in my lifetime but eventually it will become less valuable. When this is so these 'rich' middle eastern states can go back to knifing each other over their religious beliefs, feasting on the odd plague of locusts that passes through and err..not much else.
The middle east, truly the armpit of the world.

I wonder if an amercan president can be impeached if the country is at war? Maybe, maybe not, it does demonstrate a certain uncaring hutzpah to press the WW3 button just to distract from the fact that one is a lying cheating twat, a Friend Of Nigel.

I wonder if an amercan president can be impeached if the country is at war? Trump has been impeached; it has happened. What remains is a trial of the charges that have resulted in the impeachment.

The desire is a shooting war with Iran but public support for direct military confrontation has dwindled of late. Airstrikes of this nature do not require a public vote, nor does the presence of American warships in the Persian Gulf. Banging the nationalist drum will almost guarantee a second term, impeachment or no. There is no possibility of the impeachment trial succeeding.
The USA would like to eliminate Iranian nuclear capability and they would very much like Israel to help out, indicated by the recent high-profile re-affirmation of support for the legitimacy of the state of Israel. All that is left to do is convince the Israelis they are in 'clear and present danger'. The Israelis have form on this sort of thing; remember the airstrike on the Russian-funded Syrian reactor?
The driver for all of this is the growth of and support for Russian involvement in the region. This includes just about every country except Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Everybody hates the Americans. Remember Gaddafi? Libya has been in a state of chaos since America 'intervened'. Very soon there will be a coup sponsored by the Russians.

One does wonder sometimes why they don't just relocate "Israel" to somewhere in the vast expanses of the US. Maybe Oregon or somewhere. More than Ten times the size of "Israel". Nice weather, better security, friendly (?) neighbours etc. Less intercontinental jet travel needed to do the all essential business.
Then the middle East could just be left alone once the oil dependence is out of the equation.
We have a situation where all the leaders and foreign ministers are running around getting agitated about a problem which in effect is caused by a tiny little nuclear armed state with a massive and very expensive chip on their shoulder and located in the wrong place.
I suppose the nuclear thing is a bit of a concern. You don't want to mess with a nuclear power.
I wonder why Iran wants nuclear as well? Seems quite sensible as a deterrent !!
