Best way is to stick it on YouTube and just copy the link on here. Not much point if it is an known known eh! Are you here because Canalworld has turned into an arid wasteland? I did promise to myself not even to look into Thunderboat from the outside whilst away, and I didn't, so it is interesting to see how things are after 4 weeks. However, I felt free to take a peek at Canalworld for my 'canal news', but that place seems to have turned into 'Mike the Boringman and Friends'. Threads days... weeks old. If they were bread they'd be mouldy. What did become evident was that I seem to be the only correspondent on the Kennet & Avon at the moment. Not even on Canalworld (or anywhere else!) is there mention of the K&A being stopped in the Newbury-Reading catchment.

1. I have read that the missiles used are fitted with sensors to sniff our commercial airliners' transponders and divert away if it is realised that it is indeed a passenger plane and not a military bomber. 2. Was Iran forced (by the Americans?) to say "Sorry - our cock-up!" when indeed it was nothing of the sort and the Americans themselves blasted that plane out of the sky killing everyone? Just like when they got Libya to find a scapegoat so that sanctions could be lifted off Libya for the Lockerbie bombing (which the Americans seemingly did - yet again). In which case why donβt cruise missiles have commercial transponders to make them safe from defensive missiles?? Perhaps you could patent that!

Not much point if it is an known known eh! "What did become evident was that I seem to be the only correspondent on the Kennet & Avon at the moment." It's a grey area as the stretch below Newbury is sometimetimes canalised and sometimes river and sometimes a bit-of-both, as is west of Newbury it is also sometimes a mixture of river and canal (and - which river? The Kennet or The Dun?). I regard 'the K&A Navigation' to be the whole caboodle between Reading and Bristol.

But people who cruise will avoid the K&A at this time of year because of river conditions which will prevent them doing so.
I have friends planning to do the K&A but later in the year.

Harry and Meghan will keep the HRH titles but will not use them. They will not receive public funds for royal duties and will step back from royal duties, including official military appointments. They will repay the Β£2.4M spent on Frogmore Cottage.

I was thinking that, as a rich Russian oligarch has shown Megs and Harry his 'hospitality' - what will they have to do in return for it?

Words alone could not possibly describe how little interest the 'royal' story holds for me. River levels on the Thames and Kennet are infinitely more engrossing We enjoyed the K&A metanoia but I can understand how it may not be everyone's cup of tea. Rog

Looks like levels have peaked somewhat lower than the recent floods on the Thames. This is the current and recent flow being diverted down the Jubilee River. Always a good guide to general conditions. Last time it peaked at 100 cumecs. And a longer view showing the recent peak just before christmas
