I will follow my leaders on pollution issues. The flybe fiasco shows exactly how little Boris etc care about pollution. I doubt anything will change that will have any real impact on how I travel. Be that boat, car or motorcycle. It’s the usual thing, the majority get behind improving the environment until they have to pay for it. according to their TV commercial, Ryanair is very environmentally aware....................... they prove this by trying to fill all the empty cabin seats. I wouldn't be surprised if they start canvassing folk who are hanging around the terminal, offering them free same day return flights to somewhere or other just to reduce the per-head carbon footprint. I wonder how the government can justify the air travel taxation system when it is far cheaper to fly to most corners of the UK than travelling by train.

Wouldn’t hold your breath, he’s to busy looking for a clanger. Far more important than silly stuff like this.

Yes, it does look good and since that photo was taken I've replaced several of the mild steel bolts (holding the mudguard brackets etc on) which were quite rusty after 42 years with stainless steel bolts which has tidied it up a bit. At some point I intend to get the basket stripped and powder coated and also sort out the transmission cover which as can be seen in the pic is a bit tatty. I might re-paint it or I might just strip and polish it.

Polished alloy looks great but it sure isn't maintenance free, and the actual polishing bit is the easy part, preparing the surface to be polished is a slow and dirty business. But if you go for it, I've seen some get good results with a piece of leather tied to an angle grinder disk. Consider lacquer. With paint, this stuff sticks well, the best I've used, although the Simoniz product gives a glossier finish. I don't know if it comes in white though. No need for primer but you need to put it on hot so you maybe need a blowtorch. www.vhtpaint.com/high-heat/vht-engine-enamel

Nice but like I said before the top box looks wrong. Ah well the topbox being aerodynamic is for higher top speed. Very important.
