The tank height could be an issue both mine were well above the stove short runs so no problems. I can leave mine on for months with no issues [was even better on kero] but the heat would kill me now as its in the bedroom. I find it so easy to light in an evening just to top up the rayburn. Kris if you have a large tank crown oils will fill it up bankside to reduce costs my friend Lesley does this and if you can a separate tank for kero is the way forward its cleaner and cheaper

Filled up my tank (only 20 ltr left in it from last time fire went out of a 150ltr tank) syphoned it back thro with loads of big air bubbles etc until I got clear diesel, Lit it and its been working like a good un since Saturday afternoon. Going to do some fine tweaking to achieve a perfect blue flame this weekend but I have to say things are looking promising, just need to keep the tank full!!
