What a good win by a young inexperienced England squad.
Didn't see that coming, but the future looks bright.
Congratulations to England ladies too, leading the way on a double.

The world cup warm up games finally arrive.
Unsurprisingly Joe Schmidt selects a 'reserve team' side to face Italy ... the risks of picking up injuries coupled with the need to 'nail down' squad places makes this inevitable I would have thought.
So no surprise to see fast Eddie do exactly the same with the England team to face Wales.
What IS a surprise is that Gatland has picked a full strength, first team side to visit Twickenham.
I am struggling to follow his logic ... pick up a couple of injuries and he has major problems ... should Wales win it is only against a 'second team' but should they lose, confidence will be devasted.
I cannot see his thinking ... anyone care to enlighten me ?

So Wales first 15 lose to Englands 2/3rd 15 ... Hope Tom Curry's not serious ... good run out with good bits and not so good bits. Just a training game after all so not massively significant. Seven games to win in seven weeks ... no points for artistic impression or quality of play ... 7 wins in 7 weeks and the Webb Ellis is ours. Easy Rog

I miss Stumpy every time I post on this thread ... so be it ... really looking forward to tomorrow's game ... if we can can keep the score close, then with a bench of Farrell, Marler, Tualagi, Kruis, Youngs, Sinkler, George and Singleton I believe we may blow the Welsh away in the latter quarter of the game. What a bench ... what international team could match it. Really looking forward to the game Rog

Good even game with neither team getting the upper hand.
Referee was weak in my view ... the try should not have been allowed as the play should have been called back (tap taken from wrong mark and carded player still on the field).
Apart from that there was little to choose between them ... a great work out again and enjoyable to watch.

After the Wales try incident, World Rugby has ammended the laws to ensure play cannot commence whilst players are being replaced/leaving the field ... just in time for the World Cup.
Eddie's picked a very strong squad to face Ireland ... I'm really looking forward to seeing Curry, Underhill and Billy as the back row ... fantastic potential.
With Ireland also making a very strong selection (but for Sexton, Earls) it should be a good hard contest.
Let's hope neither team picks up any injuries.

Injury to Mako a downer ... hope it was just a twinge. I never expected that sort of result ... eight tries to two bullying. Incredible to listen to and looking forward to the highlights on BBC 2 later. 57 v 10 to England is beyond my wildest dreams Rog

Just watched the highlights Mako was a precautionary substitution ... I very much hope so. Well pleased to play like that against a jolly good Ireland side ... means nothing of course but even so Rog
