My sister lives out there. She's generally concerned about her green card if Trump gets in but hates her too. There's no winners with those two. Here's a video I came across this morning. It puts this election in a bit of perspective, and it's fun to watch, it's humorous.

The lesser of two evils. The media are very very biased towards her from what I've seen. Surely she can't fail to win. But will she be a good president. On a side note will Bill be the First man. She will be first Mrs president and he will be first man to be President and the presidents other half. Which would lead me to ask is there a sense that some Americans will vote for her because they think she will be guided by him.

It's a bit like the Kennedys all over again. I suggest that Hillary avoids any grassy knolls.

The thing is, who among us could stand for high office without some determined journalist being able to find a skeleton in our closet if he went back far enough? For example, there was the thing about Donald Trump making inappropriate comments about women, but most men have said something along the lines of "Phwoooar, I'd give her one!" or somesuch at some stage in their lives, but were insufficiently high-profile to be recorded saying it.

We've all got stuff best left unsaid..but then again if u have ambition and drive and wanna get to the top very early on u have to watch what you are doing.. Whatever is in her past will come out if can be found same as t'other geezer.. But then again some unsavoury high profile individuals do not hit the headlines until they are dead n gone.

Which would lead me to ask is there a sense that some Americans will vote for her because they think she will be guided by him. If she sticks to her campaign promises, I think she will be a good president. I think one of the things she will try is to heal the country's wounds and end these deep divisions we have. Ronald Reagan is still popular, not because he was such a good president, he wasn't, but because he was such a good communicator. Reagan would frequently appear on the telly, sitting at his desk in the Oval Office, and he would explain to the American people whatever the particular subject was and then he would explain what he was doing about the problem. Even if you didn't agree with Reagan's solutions, you had to admire and like him just because he cared enough about the population to explain to us what was going on. If Hillary goes to Washington with the attitude that it is "us against the enemy", we will have another 4/8 years of the same crap we've had to put up with with the republicans in the legislature obstructing everything Obama has tried to do. Things are so bad now, for example, we are facing a potential Zika virus epidemic in this country and congress refuses to fund the Center for Disease Control's anti-Zika efforts just because they have vowed to obstruct everything Obama tries to do. Hillary faces the same challenge. However, if Hillary goes to Washington and takes the Reagan approach, and communicates with the populace and explains to the populace how her proposals and her programs will benefit them, she may be successful. One thing she needs to do, though, is to figuratively take herself out of the equation. Reagan never talked about himself or about his political ups and downs. I can't recall him ever defending himself about anything. When Reagan talked, he talked about the country and its people. It's like he was the most unimportant person in the room. So many people dislike Hillary for no reason other than she has been vilified by the right for so many years, that she needs to get the country to focus on her programs, not her. If she can do that, she will be a great president. IMHO

I can fully take that all on board and apparently we over here can't discuss politics so freindly. I'm guessing I follow the wrong media stories. For the record did you mean Reagan or bill clinton. I actually liked both. As others as said if you want an important position you need to be squeaky clean as the media love to bring up what you did 40 years ago although Cameron survived the pig storey.

To be fair according to the media Trumps skeletons are not hiding very well and they mostly very very recent and probably not even skeletons yet. BUT I do feel the media go well above and beyond to ridicule him

I assure you, people over there are much more civil than people over here. Understand, Trump has outright said that, if Hillary Clinton wins, it maybe up to some of the "Second Amendment" (i.e. the Constitutional amendment that guarantees gun ownership), might have to find a solution. In other words, he was suggesting that some of his followers might consider assassinating Hillary if she is elected. His followers are much worse, and much more direct. That is hardly civil discussion. The media reporting what Trump said is not ridiculing him, it is just reporting. No one has to ridicule Trump, he does a perfectly good job all on his own. All anyone has to do is quote him and the ridicule comes along for free. If there is anything good that will come from Trump running it is that the "squeaky clean" requirement has been done away with and, in the future, we may just see more qualified people running for office because they won't have to be "squeaky clean". What kind of person is squeaky clean at age 40 or 50? Those people who are, are probably not anyone I would want representing me simply because they have led a sheltered life during which they have taken no chances. I meant Reagan.

Labour lost the last election because Ed Milliband didn't know how to eat a bacon sandwich like one of the working class geezers he was attempting to imitate- "Bacongate" I believe it came to be called.

I do feel Trump does have no chance although he will get a big vote and your slowly changing my view of Hillary. Your unbiased views have been taken on board.
Possibly your right about the future. In my eyes if someone is the right candidate who cares if they dabbled in pot at collage or eyed up the wrong bird at a party.
