I thought - who has re-awakened this thread... but then, if there are new members it could be a darn good evening's reading for them. It would be an idea to have every thread printed out and stored in The British Museum archives for future generations to browse. A snapshot of life on the waterways in 2016.

Looking - for example - at the post above yours, I'm not convinced that historians in a couple of hundred years will fully appreciate the carefully crafted response to a post they did not fully agree with.................

It just got to the stage over there (pre censorship) that anyone with a modicum 'Right Leaning', was on severely borrowed time. Then (perhaps thankfully) they pampered to the 'over sensitive' hive mind and banned all political and religious debate.... Mac 10 Aka Orca greetings Mac10 I don't think I noticed your earlier posts so a belated welcome from me ! Thanks mate - I'll pop in from time to time. 😉 Cheers, Stuart

It's interestiifg how on Thunderboat (the premier discussion forum) threads are often resurrected after long gaps, and then gain more pages. I wonder if it's because this is a more focussed group, almost distilled down to just a 'clique of sweary, chip shouldered weirdos' ? Rog (Apologies to Telemachus, but I couldn't resist) Point of order. Whilst I may be sweary a lot of the time - though not in print - and a weirdo most of the time, and have a bit of a chip some of the time, I am never part of a clique. That's what you thought. Turns out we all are. Have to say, my knees 'clique' when I get up if that counts (see what I did there ) Rog

It's my fingers that click, doesn't bother me but those next to me sometime cringe. Good isn't it?

Your great-great-great-great-great-grandchildren will be reading this in the year 2237 at The British Museum archives. Don't say I didn't warn you!
