Obviously England v Australia is top of my list. But Rotherham are at home to London Irish too. I guess Bath v Saracens and Leicester v Saints will be more on the minds of other members. Good time for Bath to host Sarries. They've not looked as rock solid in the last few match highlights I've seen. And poor old Rokoguduni gets to play for Bath too. Thought he'd be on the wing for England, but Yarde gets the nod. Saints at Leicester. That could be a chastening experience. In fairness Saints are missing a hatful of first choice players, but they look a little lost. Exciting stuff. I guess you guys know already, but the match of the day style highlights package on channel 24 (ITV 4) is worth recording. Flatman is quite amusing. I'm at work again so will be viewing England later. Hope you fellas get to enjoy your games. Rog Goes without saying that I hope we can hammer the Aussies

Might be more peaceful at the party than at Welford Road.

Might be more peaceful at the party than at Welford Road. Rog I have just been given a reprieve, my best man and mate of 24 years has asked if we can visit on Sunday as he has a full work schedule up to Christmas, this means the planned boat repair operations for Sunday have now been shifted to Saturday. No noisy kids, just me, a box of tools and Radio Noddy and 5 live on the DAB radio, heaven!!

Got to have a sneaky beer too.
Sounds much more fun than 'pin the nappy on the todler'.

Sadly the beer will have to wait, the boat is 12 miles from home and my Chauffeur will be busy making sure my daughter is having a fun filled afternoon There is every chance I won't be home before 7pm. Plenty to do this weekend, the weather is supposed to be fair for Saturday too. Doubt that will equate to a sparkling performance from our backs though....

Any thoughts on the change in point system for 6N?
Personally I wish they'd leave it alone. It's not a full league as there is no home and away match up. When defences were the fashion, it became quite subdued. Now attack is the fashion, there's no shortage of tries.
I think the very fact that they have had to award 3pts to a team winning all their games to ensure they win the competition, suggests the bonus point system doesn't fit.
I'd much sooner they got Georgia into the competition and made it 7N.

It would mean that key players are out of action for their clubs for even longer. I think Saints or Baaarrrf are good examples of where you have so many players away on international duties, their club suffers in the premiership. The last 6N we had 7 players out for approx 8 weeks, and we had 5 players called up for this years internationals.

Well, Rotherham got stuffed, but no real surprise there.
Impressive win by Bath, and an even more impressive win by England. Two good teams going at it and I think we deserved the win. We handled being under the cosh better than the Aussies did.
Saints lost, but put up a good show, and but for a late penalty, would have had the losing bonus point.
Hope your weekends are going well. Roll on the 6 nations. What a match up that's going to be!

Eddie must have had Ferguson's hair dryer, I saw the car crash first halc 20 minutes in the pub, I'd done as much as I could on the boat so knocked it on the head early. Shot back from the pub ready for the second half - what a turn around! A very enjoyable and exciting effort. Saints/Tigers was as to be expected, no doubt they trained well and will learn lessons from this loss
