No significant developments to report I'm afraid. I can't believe it made it through winter. Probably only because according to the Met office, it's been the driest winter for 20 yearsΒ I wonder what that will mean for summer boating ? Lock restrictions perhaps.

Weirdly enough, levels here in the Fens have remained reasonable for the past 3 months, very little flow but still a steady fall over the weir, I would have expected the level to have fallen but it seems that Dan at Denver Sluice is doing a very good job at maintaining the level while keeping enough water in the Relief Channel Phil

We are OK at the moment, the Nene is slightly under normal summer levels but a good flow remains over Wadenhoe lock vee gates.
EA on Radio Noddy this morning reported good capacity in underground water storage along with the fact Grafham Water is at 94% capacity, Pitsford at 80% due to ongoing maintenance works that require the level to be kept low. After a dry winter they do not currently foresee the need for hosepipe bans.
Winter rainfall 30% lower than average, April has seen only 13% of average rainfall. Driest winter since 95/96
Farmer from Mears Ashby says His winter crops are OK, spring crops a little forward in their development stage due to cold and dry conditions which forces them on, they are undersize though.
That's it for TB country file.

The Daily Mail yesterday reported that most rivers are below normal/very low which is right on the Don as very soon you will be able to open the Town locks with no difference in flow or level serious stuff to say the least

I've been plagued with water level problems at many points of my trip, on the HNC the feeder reservoirs are virtually empty already.

He could set up cctv cameras with different views of varied sections of the shed. Call it Shed Watch, get Michaela Strachen and Chris Packham doing a commentary and the BBC will buy it Rog

The old girl isn't doing too bad. But plastic does take a long time to decompose

Your post has some merit, though perhaps your opening comments could be couched in less emotive terms. I would certainly welcome regular site visits, subsequent publication of associated detailed Site Reports/Stock Condition Survey/Works In Progress inspections, the inevitable financially catastrophic delaps survey and Demolition/Site Clearance phase.

And a health and safety risk assessment. It might fall over on someone. One thing about sheds is that they are built to be used by people.
When I was about 15 a large building site hoarding fell on me. It was when they were building John Lewis in Kingston on Thames. Nasty incident. A bloke came out and lifted it off me. He looked very concerned about it all. I walked away from it.
More trauma. I had a nice shed in the garden when I was 13. Had mains electric power in there and I was going to sleep in it then Mike el Fish told us a few days later there would be no hurricane. 1987. During the shocking hurricane a tree fell on the shed. I watched it happening from a window in the house.
This is why I worry about sheds.
