I have many, thanks for asking. Ive only been on canals for 45 years though so still a beginner. I often notice this. Some of the older ones although claiming to have been on the canals since Jesus walked, behave like bloody amateurs. You would think that after all those years, they would have learnt how to control a bloody boat, and not get jammed in locks and smash gates up.

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but London underground has much improved over the past three years. Coincidence perhaps?

So iwhat do you think about Crt selling off more property than ever Its a fire sale. They have fucked up the accounts and need money quick before the annual audit. It seriously under minds the future survival of the waterways, so i would have thought some one with lots of boats and such a long connection to the canals, would be concerned about it

Or a dickhead or just a very very stupid man. But I don't think it's the last. Unless of course, you're a woman, and then he sleazy and smarmy in equal amounts. Take a look at this thread 'over there' --- www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=84206#entry1808330He's a plumber, for fucks sake, but he's just poncing around asking questions that have no answer, or he could answer.Β He could just answerΒ the poor geezer's question rather than trying to make himself look clever with the "I know something you don't": trick. Well of course you do, tosser, that's why he's asking the question. What a full of himself wanker he is. Come on now! Mike's signature sums it up nicely. "A wise man knows his ignorance; a fool thinks he knows everything"

Do 'likes' get recorded, by the way? I quite liked the greenie system (elsewhere!). How do we know if our posts have been 'liked' - is there a permanent marker or something? Although it is all a bit Daily Mail-ish with the thumbs-up and thumbs-downs (and, you can almost always predict which way the majority will be pointing on the DM!) I always forget to click on the 'liked this' hand sign, but it doesn't mean I haven't liked many posts on here. I just "liked" this post so you should be able to see that it now says so above your post. As far as I'm aware, the total number of "likes" isn't recorded.

Hello Emma welcome to the Thunderboat , Slightly unusual topic for a first post, but I don't think you'll find many here that disagree with your opinion of the plumber. Regards kris Kris, Don't you think you should speak only for yourself, and not for everyone else on the forum?
