Hi Steve,
Reading the 'Incompetent' bit under the latest notes, can you confirm this relates to the notes of the 6th of June meeting.
Also are these notes published online by CRT?
Further if anyone can point me in the right direction to find published notes of the Board of Trustees meetings I'd be grateful.

They should be posted to the link I gave you, but never are. The ones you find on the Internet, (and are as you state heavily redacted) are pretty useless.

Ignore last post - I've found them. It is always of most use when, upon finding something like that, you provide the links for others to use that you have found. It would be wrong to assume that the rest of us are as smart/internet savvy as yourself!

It wold be wrong to assume that the rest of us are as smart/internet savvy as yourself! Apologies Nigel and everyone - I just assumed I was being a numpty. If you go to the CRT meetings link provided by Steve canalrivertrust.org.uk/meetings and scroll back looking for Board of Trustee meetings. Then on finding a meeting click on the meeting, this should take you to a link such as this canalrivertrust.org.uk/meetings/723-board-of-trustees-meeting then click on the 'Papers' link. Note the meeting on 22nd Nov does not yet have the papers attached so don't use that one as an example. I've only gone back a couple of months at the moment. I may have some follow up questions to my 'thoughts' about CRT governance but for now I need to to a bit of research myself.

So widebeam liscences to double then. Looks like it. I had a short discussion on it in Birmingham with Parry a couple of years ago. I put forward the fact that widebeams are restricted, and any licence fee increase should bear that in mind, along with dredging and offside cutting. These needed to be addressed beforehand. He accepted that these were valid points, and should be considered before any such increases were implemented. The downer, (or shit stirrer) on this development is in my view Mike Annan. He has shown, and voiced his "little ego trip" on this issue for several years. (Small willy issues I suspect).

At the moment I get prompt payment and historic boat discounts. My boat is 14ft wide as well so I'll be the maximum on that increase as well. It might well price me off the water to be honest if my liscence more than doubled in one go.

There are enough widebeams on the system now to warrant a meeting between them and the Trust before anything is decided upon. This is just Matthew Symonds looking to secure further need for his job, and using Mike Annan to help him along. This is definitely not something that can be brought in short term, or willy nilly. The disturbing fact for me, is the way these groups are being used to form objectives and goals. Some of the members are not the brightest of sparks.
