Anyway All you infidels who don't play (for) / or support The Mighty Bath, we now have to unite and put our differences & allegiances aside (temporarily) for the next 7 ish weeks to retain our 6N trophy. As well as maintaining Fast Eddie's glorious record. Together As One !!

The nearer it gets, the more injuries we have, the more concerned I get.
Ireland v Scotland is a cracking start. Everyone is tipping Ireland for the championship, and they are an exciting squad, but Scotland are definitely on the rise and an attacking threat.
Wales are usually slow starters, and aren't playing up to their standards recently. I wonder if O'Shea is going to have surprises for them in Rome?
We should beat France at HQ.......but
The nearer it gets, the more injuries...etc etc

We should be able to beat France at HQ. That's all that matters at this point. And I think Ireland will beat the Scots. The thing about the Six Nations (and the Five before it) is that weird stuff happens. I'll never forget Sole leading the Scots out on to the pitch at a walk. Portent of doom. Rog

Daly to start with Nowell on the bench, which is a surprise.
Similarly Haskell on the bench.
Some class impact players for the second half.
I know we have injury problems, but never the less that looks a formidable squad.

Do we think the competition will feel different this year with bonus points?

Do we think the competition will feel different this year with bonus points? Yes it will make a difference. No…….it shouldn’t be introduced into the 6N tournament, where you only play one game against a team. If you were to play a home and away game in the same competition, then that’s when a bonus point would make more sense.

Agreed.
Without the home and away games, the bonus point system can create a twisted result.
After all these years I can't believe it was considered necessary.
On the plus side, I don't think it will be detrimental overall.
