My mate was on the 0700 train Weymouth to London. Said it was rammed with rugby fans I met his train at soton. Sat in first class. The train is rammed. You can't move.
We're alternating England songs with saints songs. Good times.
Only been on it an hour and I'm down to two cams of beer. Bad times

As for today's efforts at HQ, Eddie was not impressed!
First half was dull, second half they finally worked out how to play Italy's naughty game. A bonus point win, top of the table and the steamroller goes on. One question though, what had Farrel done with his kicking boots?!

I liked the comment about his next 50 being better than the first 50, that was a pretty accurate statement today

I take it somethings put you in a bad mood? Rog What a fantastic day of rugby. Started in a pub at 10:00hrs for me this morning. Bristol v Bath game lost my voice. Eng v Italy game: fell asleep in the first half in some VIP suite at trAshon Gate. Way to many pints of Timmy Taylor. Night Night Stumps xXx

Right then, 24 hours later, what's the verdict on the 'non combatant' tactics Italy employed yesterday? For my part 1 We took far too long to just go through the middle, but we got there in the end 2 We still managed the bonus point, and put six tries by them. 3 Italy got thumped despite the tactic, so hardly in any way successful. I think it was negative (just a method of keeping the scores down) and against the spirit of the game. I hope the law is changed to create offside at the tackle rather than just ruck/maul. What do you think? Rog PS Can no one mention Baaaarfs loss to Bristol please

As for Italy's shenanigans, hmmm, the biggest disappointment wasn't that they didn't fancy it, it was disappointing as took so long to sort out shit out. Poite's comment to Dylan and the Haskwit 'I'm a referee not a coach' told the story Interestingly, O'Shea had run it by Mr Poite on Saturday, and as there is currently nothing stopping them using that tactic he was fine with it.

Sorry, but it reminded me of an old joke. Italian combat rifle for sale, never fired, dropped once. Rog They got a losing bonus point so they 're probably quite pleased.......mind you best we don't mention it

Rog They got a losing bonus point so they 're probably quite pleased.......mind you best we don't mention it Italy did not get a loosing bonus point, the only thing that they got was some pride from having got in at half time in the lead. As to the tactics, as the laws stand there is nothing wrong with it, and it has been seen occasionally before. England did take too long to work out that pick and go is the response, I was screaming at the TV. Once they have 2 or 3 players on England side if the tackle then by definition when you pick and go you are in behind, and do that 3 or 4 time quickly and you are easy in to score as happens. So as long as you are switched on it is not a tactic to use other than occasionally.

However, I think it took Fast Eddies half time team talk to get the message over. Experience perhaps? I'd like to thank the regulars for not mentioning the Baaaarrrff - Bristol game..............most considerate

The reference to a losing bonus point did not relate to the England v Italy game.
It related to Bristol's victory over Baaaarth, their first in over 10 years.
But we were not mentioning the matter, so as not to further inflame the passions of our resident Baaarth fan.
I think we got away with it.
