As potentially the most important person in the world shouldn't Trump be leading by example? Whichever way you read the stats the population of the world is growing out of control so anything we can do to help the planet support us is good. So why is Trump sending us a message that we shouldn't worry about global warming? Is it just possible that the truth is that it is out of control and 'they' believe we are beyond the point of no return? Or is he just selling us a pack of lies so we carry on using oil? If 'they' believe we are at the point of no return, I'm sure Trump and his merry crew will be fine on Mars.

That article is both frightening and fascinating in equal measures...

Interesting article John. Thanks for that. The problem with this kind of hypothesis is that it implies that 'they' know they are doing, and that goes against the grain for me...lol Seriously though, like the safety statement I read on CERN, a lot is based on prediction, assumption and theory. As is often the case, there is little hard practical evidence. As you imply, politicians can spin what they like from scientific studies. In fact, they can also influence the outcome of reports. Common sense has shown us that messing with nature is bad news. It's just that we lack common sense. I mean, how on earth did mankind end up letting these people control us?

Unless there's some check on population the world is fucked anyway, climate change or no climate change. The world leaders, all slapping each other on the back, viewing themselves as saviours of the planet, didn't shout too loudly about that the climate change agreement specifically excludes all 'commercial' activity, at their recent summit. If they think sticking a few wind turbines up and forcing some folk to cycle rather than drive cars will sufficiently offset the damage caused by perpetual economic growth, experienced by an increasing number of nations, they are living in cloud cuckoo land.

I agree. Especially the bit about population growth. I think the current solution is to kill of people by causing as much stress to our bodies and minds as possible. Actually, I did read somewhere a while back that that is one of the reasons 'they' like to push oil based chemicals on us. How many people have been killed by a wind turbine?

Donald Trump is a moron. You have to be really stupid not to have sussed this out by now. Does he have any educational qualifications at all? Does he have the vaguest inkling about 'climate change / global warming' ? Does he care? Nope. Who are these silly people who think that Donald Trump the Moron is running America, actually managing 260 million people?

I beg to differ.
USA population about 325 Million.
I think it really exciting that a "non-politico" will step into the White House next month.

In fairness though, the official population of the US and the real population of the US are probably two entirely different things. The official population of the UK is 64 million, Tesco calculated in 2007, based on their sales figures and those of their rivals, that it was a minimum of 77 million.

I fear history teaches us, that over population will eventually be neutralised by our natural ability to wipe out swathes of the population in combat.

Sounds about right.

Sounds about right. The surest way of calculating any country's population is not by seeing how many people complete a Government form every ten years but by seeing how much bread is sold.

Or by making everyone go to Land's End and then letting them out one by one.
