I read both threads (Bed Wetting and Can-Caravanners-Be-here-Too?) and found CWDF to be turning into an elderly persons' home, all not-very-stimulating. At least geo provides us with a laugh: "I have...found that screwing...in heavy rain or rain and high winds...considerably reduces any blow...or splashes." Got to keep you prats here happy with part quotes. Mind you I might have a good thread for you lot to work on later today. Think of I need to post it you will all enjoy it.

yeah why was he doing that? they was no reason to stalk your every post like that. Of course that begs the question why stay here too but as I don't see this as a predominantly boating forum it seems valid to stick around and give the pikey bashers something to aim at. Always good to have friends dotted round the country - if your car breaks down and you need help, or if you happen to be passing you can perhaps drop in. There may be some willing to lend their boat some times. I had a quick look at Canalworld today and saw that Mr Fincher was stressing how important it is to get your particulars right (re-Puffing Billy President / drag-along shed Saturn) yet there are two different versions of events at The Hillmorton Hang-Up Incident - did we ever find out which was the real version?

Come on in Martin, the water is lovely ... Seconded. MJG I can't promise we will never fall out but at least this place gives a chance to allow any steam to blow off.

I had several perfectly fine interactions with JP on the forum. I then met him in person at Bancroft basin. He seemed perfectly pleasant. But then suddenly he started sniping me on the forum as he's done with Martin. I somewhat had it out with him on the forum and he seems to have stopped for the time being, but it was a bit odd.

"How do you pronounce Staithes. Village near Whitby"
Just found at least four versions from Googling. My fifth version is 'Staves' like it or not. It's a ghost village anyway, 95% holiday homes just empty.
Now you'd think Whitby would be pronounced 'Wit Be' but it's not, it's really pronounced as 如染色质免疫共沉淀芯片技术.

The correct pronunciation is 'Steers'. No I didn't believe it either but it is correct.

That's it.
I used to get my car MOT'd there when I was an impoverished student Nurse. The guy that owned the garage at the top of the hill on the main road was quite 'liberal' in what he would pass as long as he trusted you to get it fixed 'some time soon'

Indeed, begs the question why you mentioned it then numbnuts. I always did like "numbnuts" as a pejorative - and it's much more gentile than "fuckwit".

Looks like it, the question is for how long? A mini-flounce, a midi-flounce, a maxi-flounce or a Full Blown Flouncerama? I have to say I sympathise with him a bit, constant low level sniping is pretty wearing. There's always the ignore button on CWDF, made good use of it in the past when I needed a break from someone's drivel. The ignore button on here works quite well also ...... I only use it on the obvious trolls though ....... don't mind a good punch up with proper posters but the couple of trolls that visit occasionally aren't worth the effort
