Parson's terriers have wiry hair, jack Russell smoother? At least they have from the ones I have seen, and from the pic of pts. There are smooth coated and rough coated JRTs, mine was rough coated. anyway, to get back on topic, when walking my pups I often meet a very erudite retired professor who has 2 very small smooth haired JRT lookalikes that he assures me are parsons terriers. I would like to discuss the matter with him but a short chat always turns into a 3 hour lecture, so it is best avoided.
