Is this switched on for the forum? It's the best way for me to post photos, photo bucket has become unuseable.

imgur works. And for a link to loads of photos, then Google Photos works too.

OK. I don't know what Tapatalk is. I expect it's something people will be talking about in 5 years' time when they say "Do you remember that thing called Tapatalk?" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tapatalk OK, now I know all about it!

Frankly it's rubbish apart from the photo upload, it tries to represent forums in a Facebook sort of way which some like.

I have avoided Facebook. But I did download WhatsApp this Summer, which is owned by the Facebook Group (the creepy Mark Zuckerberg), and that seems to work nicely, quick to send photos and messages.

I eventually found thunderboat in Tapatalk by copying the entire address into the search and posted my exciting drain pictures.

Here you are. I took these so I could show to someone what the problem is. Welding job. This is one drain channel from the deck to the outside. 30 years old I guess. I have wrapped Jesus tape (duct tape - we call it Jesus tape because it performs miracles) around it, so repair not urgent. goo.gl/photos/t8DgZCX63UgDu18Y7

Would you like to see our drain photos? Not really, but I'd look to be polite.

You have to admit the digital camera is a good aid to narrowboating/boating. Shove it down anywhere you can't see but can get your hand. The other drain tube, on the other side, is OK, funny how one has rusted away but not the other. I blame Brexit. No doubt some marina will make the usual song and dance about this simple job, claiming it will be easier to send their mechanic to Jupiter via Staithes (irregular bus service) than to stick another square-profiled tube in there and weld it up. Cost estimate £500.

Foxy, That's a cut out and replace job. Looks like Stevie Wonder did the welding first time around £500 sounds strong for an easy mornings work with a few brews in between!
