Hello folks, new member of the live aboard variety. Just spent the last um, ten weeks broke down on the LLC, should have been a lot less but it seems one eBay sellers idea of a reconditioned gearbox leaves a lot to be desired. So it came about the there was no other option than to take two knackered gearboxes and a new seal kit and make one good one from the two ! Time passes, water runs out and the few daylight hours available are almost swallowed up just trying to survive (and drag water tubs back from the brewery) while my partner tries her hardest to commute to work and grab some respite from my poor state of mental health. I thank that eBay seller for thier help in expanding what is possible with no facilities and a set of spanners in the mid winter. When in deep water becoming a diver is a you can do. Keep on chuggin D

Hi discodave, without wanting to know all about your gearbox, you're and expert now, which could be useful in the future, although I hope that you'll only need it again to help someone else, and that yours will be good forever, or if possible for even longer.
Peter.
