The Home Secretary entered the Brexit Debate today calling for a more mature discussion on the pros and cons for staying or leaving the EU. Perhaps her most interesting comment was that it was nonsense that Britain can't survive outside the EU but says we would be safer in the EU club. Perhaps controversially she calls for us to leave the European Convention on Human Rights which would allow us to deport dangerous foreign nationals, this was immediately dismissed by shadow justice secretary Lord Falconer as ignorant, illiberal and misguided. She then went on to say,we are the fifth biggest economy in the world, growing faster than any economy in the G&,we attract a fifth of all foreign investment in the EU,we have a military and an intelligence service second to none and friendships and alliances far beyond Europe. What is the real game going on here,Is it simply the Home Secretary setting out her stall for a future Leadership contest or is she pointing us in a third direction, not in or out but something in between.

think its definitely her putting herself out as a unity candidate when this internal war of the tories ends, but she is actually speaking sense except for leaving the ECHR a Brexit wouldnt affect that though as it is not part of the EU. Just negotiate a way to deport criminals easier.
