Great. We only have room for 300W, but it's enough on most days from spring onwards. I saw 23A once, at around 13V, so they were doing their job well, via a Tracer MPPT. Life-changing!
It has definitely been MOORING changing. We used to like dark, sheltered, tree lined cuttings, but now it's open skies for us!

We've never needed solar panels due to being on the move much of the time. Even when we're not we have to run the engine up for a couple of hours to get hot water so the batteries get charged at the same time. We use very little electricity anyway. Just the odd light at night time and occasionally the small flat screen TV which uses about the same as a light bulb these days. The 240v generator only gets run up if the (new) wife needs to use the hair dryer! In return she does our washing at her house...lol. The joys of having your cake and eat it eh?

There's also a saying in the forces, don't miss an oppurtunity to eat or sleep, which if you carried on in your civy life would mean you wouldn't do much but eat and sleep.
