Only 7 jurors? I think that is a recipe for disaster if ever I saw one. For something as serious as this it would have to be at least 10 for me I can see this appealed

Sorry I see, only seven out of nine found they were unlawfully killed. So how many jurors would you have wanted then?sorry Peter I dont understand what you mean, the figures seem ok to me,i.e.seven out of nine.

Only seven could agree on the final point of whether it was unlawful killing. Seven is not enough IMO. Prob done to appease the families. No mention in all the failings of the yob behaviour of some of the fans. Still I am sure the poor bugger who commanded the day will be sacrificed to satisfy the need for justice. If I was him I would piss off pretty quick to somewhere in the sun with no extradition treaty and carry on spending my pension.

A normal jury has 12 and a majority can be 10 to 2. 7 is getting to low as is just over half a normal jury.

Sadly the can has been kicked too far down the road and it won't result in our seeing Duckenfield go to prison,South Yorkshire Police are the dregs as far as a Force goes and I have known this since their appalling behaviour during the Miners Strike, which I witnessed personally. As for the rest of Yorkshire Police,I remember how they would sit and drink Tea with Jimmy Saville once a week in his penthouse flat discussing Community Issues, meanwhile Surrey Police were emailing them to interview Saville over Duncroft Girls School and other allegations and they did nothing. In this case i.e. Hillsborough I believe it amounts to corporate manslaughter ?

Yob behaviour of what fans, they have been exonerated and Kelvin Mckenzie and the Sun have recanted their story.

19.5 million of taxpayers money given to the Police to mount a defence, that should tell you all you need to know about South Yorkshire Police.

Its strange but other factors like the match should never have been played there as it wasnt up to scratch, and I watched drunken liverpool fans with no tickets charging the gates on Sky TV! all of this is forgotten in the race for justice which in the end I dont think we have. Keith and Chris 2 firemen called there said that an amount of fans were drunk and out of control they wernt called to give evidence wonder why?

...I watched drunken liverpool fans with no tickets charging the gates on Sky TV! There are problems with making assumptions and basing opinions on what you see on Sky TV. That's why both parties calles up real witnesses in this marathon court case. Why would there have been a need for a cover up? Have you asked that question? Some of the stuff you post is mind boggling TBH.

What I saw on Sky tv at the time was drunken liverpool fans without tickets charging the gates, unfortunately to save fans that were trying to get in with tickets, gates were opened and then of course it was the innocent fans at the front who were injured when they had nowhere to go. Umpteen pubs around the area will tell you that the fans had been drinking there for hours. If the drunken fans had been caught then truly the blame could have been laid on them, but by that time everyone was caught up with a disaster on the pitch, so thoughts of catching the real culprits are forgotten about. I wish the FA had done the right thing and played the match at a suitable venue and then we would not have been discussing this for me they are the real culprits and as always money talks and they get away with it

I agree with you but this was live Sky tv at the time. I had been to the ground many times, as my Uncle had a box there, so when on leave I could go watch a match, and knew very well the ground needed serious updating to make it safe. After this event any interest I had in football went and Uncle John let his box go. The pubs that were there at the time are still there I was in the area only last week when we went to Towsure. We all know that at that time as others have said people used to get drunk before matches and lots just went for a rumble. Its a sad fact of life that when I went to High school all the talk was about the fighting at the match very little about the game.
