you have quoted media bias on the Brexit Thread, what makes you think it doesn't exist here? I agree with you but this was live Sky tv at the time. I had been to the ground many times, as my Uncle had a box there, so when on leave I could go watch a match, and knew very well the ground needed serious updating to make it safe. After this event any interest I had in football went and Uncle John let his box go. The pubs that were there at the time are still there I was in the area only last week when we went to Towsure. We all know that at that time as others have said people used to get drunk before matches and lots just went for a rumble. Its a sad fact of life that when I went to High school all the talk was about the fighting at the match very little about the game. Peter I don't doubt your sincerity or your knowledge but tell me this if you can, on a percentage basis how would you spread blame between Police and Fans ?

Everybody was to blame thats the problem the escaped drunk fans, FA, organisers and the police. The innocent dead wont be brought back by all this I dont even know what to call it

I think you are right on the button there. I would still have liked a complete jury yes on this though.

Interestingly You can have between 7 - 11 jurors at a coroners court I think I would have gone for the higher number in this case

It's a fair comment Peter but Sky news footage was still somewhat biased at the time. Also did you actually see live footage of 'drunken' fans with 'no tickets' force their way in? Heresay is dangerous, only those who were actually there at the time are qualified to tell the story. Seems a common problem on forums...

Thats the thing when it happened I was in Holland [Afcent] we only had Sky and it was wall to wall coverage so I had nothing else to judge it by. Nowdays my to ex firemen friends told me what they saw and had heard from the fans so I judged from that and others that were around. Remember this is on my backdoor, and I worked for 2 years not more than a couple of hundred yards away from the place. Right or wrong Dukenfield made a decision that he thought was right at the time but turned out wrong. We all do this sort of stuff but for us it isnt so far reaching. His real crime for me was the statements they should have been left alone

would I be mistaken to say the game was not live on sky tv but on match of the day, with it being an FA cup game and commentated by John Motson or are we just talking about the aftermath.

I didn't stop to think about the news coverage it would of brought during the day and I apologise, I had just finished a 14 hr shift and it was about 3 am.
I remember it happened but not anything else. I was only 9. we did not have sky only a radio rentals tv and video player and four channels.
I do remember the shit, the sun got in. I would imagine sky were bordering on the same.
