I was reminded of that old saying "a weeks a long time in Politics " when I see that Sadique Khan, Labours Mayoral Canditate for London is calling for the expulsion of Ken Livingstone for anti semitism. Last week of course David Cameron was calling for Sadique Khans withdrawal from the Mayoral Election over his links with Muslim Extremists.Political Posturing I think. But really does this anti semitism exist in the Labour Party or is it a case of any narrative whatsoever that is hostile to Israel being just seized upon by the Jewish Lobby?

I think its roots are anti-Israel but it morphs into anti-semitism. I think the creation of the state of Israel was always going to be unacceptable to the people of the region, particularly the Palestinians, but Jews had been building settlements all over Palestine through the 1920s and 30s and possibly earlier than that, in an effort to establish a Jewish state, so even if it hadn't been officially recognised in 1948 the jewish/arab conflict would still be there and possibly more bloody than it is today.

Red Ken has been suspended, I guess it follows naturally in the wake of Naz Shah yesterday.
So is Jeremy losing his close allies as they show their full left wing loonyness.

All you have to do is go back the odd couple of thousand years and you will discover that Palestine as is now was the kingdom of the jews and other Jewish kingdoms strange old world

Lord Sugar has joined in the witch hunt as well "the lunatics have taken over the party" and said: "There is an underlying feeling now under (Corbyn's) regime that anti-Semitism is starting to rise in the Labour Party, although he denies it."

Corbyn's opponents within the party, of which there are many, are biding their time waiting for the inevitable cracks to appear and this could be the first signs. The guy's a joke, a political agitator and anachronism who belongs on the back benches. Him and his shadow chancellor remind me of local government union shop stewards rather than political heavyweights.

Thats a lazy opinion,Corbyn is an irrelevance and I shall attempt to explain why I think this. Its the publics desire for change that has brought us Corbyn, whether Corbyn brings about any change is neither here nor there. There is no alternative vision within the Labour Party at this time only more of the same old Blairist philosophy which has been entirely discredited and is Toxic to the Labour voter. The people want change no matter if they have to elect Corbyn to achieve it and that is not going away anytime soon, very similar to Trump in many respects.I do agree that he is very limited as a Politician bear in mind he is the first Leader elected from the grassroots up maybe a more pertinent question to ask is,do you need an Oxbridge education to lead working class people?

I genuinely don't believe anti semetism is rising in the Labour Party,I think a generation who aren't wedded to the Holocaust Vision of Israel (the victim of others) actually question what is going on in Palestine. When was the last time a prominent Jew like Sugar questioned Israeli behaviour? I heard an interview on Radio 4 with young jews living in Israel who were anti what was happening and said that expatriate Jews have a distorted view of the state of Israel. Channel Four news had an expose the other night on the Holocaust survivors for example who all live in abject poverty, totally forgotten about.

You can be anti Zionists without being antisemitic imo, I detest the zionist govt of Israel and its actions against arabs of all religions within its and the West Banks borders, I have no hatred for jews as a religion or a people.

Ah, but you see that's what "anti-semitic" means in this context. "Not fully supportive of the Israeli government's domestic and foreign policy". It's a very close relative of "Waycist, innit?"
