Do they have a hate option ?
Love is nothing without hate.

Well I popped over to have a look to see whatyou were talking about but it was down so I couldn't see. If people are complaining it will be much the same as the last time they changed the format. Probably the same ones who are moaning about the change now are the same ones who were moaning about the change to the last format from the previous one, yet eventually they got used to it but are now moaning again. Perhaps you should reserve judgement until you have viewed the changes. I'm sure if you're determined enough, you'll eventually work everything out. But is that the function of the site, to give people something to do in trying to get to grips with changes they didn't ask for? To be honest, I can't be bothered. Rog

No-one likes change, especially dung beetles. However the new software is just an update of the old software and its already "out there" on other forums. You could say that you never want anything to change (plenty do!) but of course that would mean you would still be living in a cave with a life expectancy of 30. So you'd already be dead. Careful what you wish for!

I know the changes were necessary, not a choice. I know everyone will have got used to it in a short space of time. I was initialy responding to the implied criticism of people who don't like the changes, from someone who's not actually viewed the changes. But in truth, I just can't be arsed with it. As someone pointed out recently, everything over there, ends up on here too, but perhaps with a little more panache (in my view). Just hope delta9 isn't planning shaking everything up here Rog

Careful what you wish for! What does IT stand for? IT doesn't stand for anything. Rog is right, it's change for the sake of it - a cynic would say it's to keep you techie weirdos happy, it also must make said techie weirdos have a greater sense of importance than they really have. While there is nothing wrong with progress, buggering about with stuff for the sake of it is worse than standing still. Remember, if it looks right it often is. CWDF now looks like a nerds wet dream.

I take it you still run MSDOS on your computer? Or do you even have a computer? An abacus maybe? It is human nature to want nothing to change, especially if you are a bit insecure. But ultimately it is an untenable position.

But ultimately it is an untenable position. It is where this sort of stuff is concerned! I'd happily forgo the plugged in 24/7 nature of modern society.. But then again I'm an Anachronism living out of my time. Sure, I use computers and my phone daily, there are elements that have made life easier, but, if we are all really honest it's window dressing isn't it? And potentially damaging to society. I'm convinced generations to come will be insular, mute odd balls with thin fingers and funny eyesight

Careful what you wish for! I suspect dung beetles have adapted to massive changes during their existence. It appears that they are extremely durable creatures able to survive in a multitude of different environments.

Rog I'm not remotely interested enough to even try and assess the changes TBH. I just commented on what sounded like moans and whinges reminiscent from the last time the software updated.

Why are they showing love-hearts instead of 'likes' on posts, yet have no record anywhere of the accumulated number in the profile section, nor what posts have gained such 'reputation'? You can vote down the love heart. Phil

Not been to have a look, never will. In my defence I was forced into logging on, I couldn't have my regular email address spammed to death by CWDF. The yahoo email server for my new dustbin account can groan quietly to it's self under the strain of the notifications.

You could have just sent them straight to your junk mail folder?? - then they would get auto deleted after a pre-set period (assuming yahoo mail works in a similar way to GMail)

Setting up another account was easy enough and has had the desired result!
