Having seen the picture of him I am wondering if he should comment on others ,he looks like he just spent the night under a canal bridge with newspapers as blankets A slimy lot of careerist trash with absolutely no interest or affinity with the waterways other than to batter and threaten everyone into submission without any due regard to law.It may not be you this week but your turn will come.

I think the important fact here is that Matthew Symonds although denying his alleged remarks, has taken no action whatsoever to have the allegations removed. Neither has he initiated any intention to legally challenge The "accusations". I think he needs to apologize, sooner rather than later.

Unless another Smoking Gun is produced the issue will just be buried. I believe he said it which is why I make my opinion of him and his colleagues and the organisation they work for plain. I remember years ago chatting with Janet Ling the now retired EO over a curry and a Beer one night, she told me then about the drastic changes and the culture shock that was in store for all boaters," they don't want you Paul "she said and I understand now.

The fact is Crt have no place for online livaboard boaters ion their master plan. The quicker boaters wake up to this and get organised the better.

The next two years will see some suddenly realising what's happening, but as usual will have done nothing to prevent it

THEN you may have a point!

I'm with Kris, don't have too much faith in human nature, especially CRT and their employees FFS. Bit like CWDF after CA went, do you think the moderators became more reasonable? Nope, completely the opposite....

It's this ostrich like behaviour that you are showing that will mean the end of people living on the waterways. The cc'er issue is just a distraction technique to devide boaters and keep them arguing amongst themselves. While all the time Crt are sellng off more property than ever and the maintenance of the network is in decline. But hey ho alls well in your little bubble of alcohol induced haze so why bother hey.

Yea I just hope enough boaters wake up to the reality, before its to late. I can understand why people don't wont to believe that Crt want to turn the place into a linear theme park. But it's hapening now on a canal near you. The only hope we have is if we all stick together and get organised.
Regards kris

All is indeed excellent in my little bubble, thank you! (Not sure what that last 'hey' was for though)
