I am looking outside my box - but can you explain why exactly people choose to live in canal boats? Canals came and went - they lost their purpose. Then leisure boaters came along. Do you think it's normal to want to live on a boat on a redundant then restored freight corridor? Just asking. Stereotypical of what?!! If you don't know then don't worry about it. You don't need to know. Tom

It's a sad world if we all have to be "normal," I find it particularly ironic with Mr fox talking about being "normal" Oh well it's a funny world

I'm seeing a lot of the younger generation seeing through it now though, so maybe things will start to change. Although the internet has it's faults by exposing more rubbish, it has also exposed alternative ways of thinking about stuff. Social media is also helping to keep the 'normal' media in check. I know some laugh at people like Icke, but as I like to think there ia a bit of good in everything, I also reckon there is a bit of truth in everything too. We just have to look for it.

I think he's 'awight'. I agree with a lot of his angry shit, but I can't help picturing our first meeting, where I give him a 'damned good listening to'! No offence hopefully, Mr Fox!

I'm living on one because of the peace and quiet in retirement, which it generally is. In the winter, it is REALLY peaceful. In the summer, a few boats go past every day. It's not at all like the M25! (Mind you, I have little knowledge of the southern canals.) But is it not too cold in the winter?

I saw 2 cmers last week I know both are under watch and enforcement action is in the offing for both. One needs moving before the Tanker moves him! And if it does it will be like that well known program voyage to the bottom of the sea! There was also some overstaying at another location the EO entered the stuff in his puter shook his head and walked on dont know and dont care what happens but they were blocking prime moorings which as always is the problem

Talk of resurrecting the dead. It's OK - Dyertribe can make twice the money when she buries them again!
