Any news from the DVLA Mr Stabby ... are you getting any ...work that is ? Rog Well, the echocardiogram was last Monday and the hospital said they would email the results that day but nothing has happened, with most of the DVLA staff being on furlough I imagine they would have been a bit too busy up the valleys with the wellies and the fan belt to bother about little old me.

I've met several people on here, knowing who they were in the virtual world. Sadly due to my "bit of a twat syndrome" I have also missed meeting one or two of you and hopefully can correct that at some point. People I have met in real life: JohnVNigelMoorenaughtyfox@blacksheep @nemesis I'm terrible with names so do tell me if I have missed anyone out. Obviously under my SIS guise of being a "normal bloke" and getting around a bit in boats I may have met countless others but they would never recognise me due to the "normal bloke" disguise. I did briefly meet @saltysplash whose name for some reason is 'arthurtwoshedsjackson' "years ago" but that was to refuse to tow his boat due to my having a tailshaft problem. And he doesn't post here at all now sadly so maybe not a "member". I should add that all the people I have met were "the most pleasant person you could ever wish to meet". Not sure what that means but I remember Dennis Taylor saying it about snooker players on the commentary. I'm sure it was meant in a good way.

Once we get all this covid business out of the way you will be able to add me to the list. EtA, that might not be a good thing though.

There was talk of a TB meeting 3 years ago... but I can't see that ever happening now with Covid-19 and all the old folk on here a-scared of catching it. Thanks, China!

Just one for me, and he didn't steal my boat either. You met me many moons ago at Market Bosworth @froggy ... well, "met" might be stretching it - we spoke, very briefly! I have only officially "met" dogless and Jane (at Norbury 4 or 5 years ago) but have seen/passed many members while they were pretending to hide and/or nodded and waved. I could compile a list but .... ..... they might remember me...! (Just love being incognito - never cease to be amazed by people's expectations/assumptions!!) Did we? Hmm canβt remember, but then I am really crap at talking to people, a little ignorant I am told, did you identify yourself as a forum user? just remembered I have also met Jane a couple of timeβs, lampiniaafloat(that may be spelt wrong) they moor by bridge 5 on the Ashby..

Resurrected thread because today I met kris (and his Dad briefly) for the first time. What a really lovely bloke, and what an awesome boat. Jane's now telling me size may be more important than I previously thought Rog

As for size itβs fine until you come to paint the roof.π

I'd suggest you go hide on a river.
