The bit that baffles me is 4. Then there is no image to look at??? Once an image is posted on the internet, it obtains a URL. That URL can then be posted elsewhere, and it doesn't matter if the image is deleted from the original place it was posted to. If I delete an image from my space on imgr then it doesn't display, you get a 'this image has been moved or deleted' message in its place. An image might reside in the cache on your pc and it will still display at least untill you refresh the page but it's not using the url to display it its using a version of it stored on your pc. AFAIK Facebook should be the same or similar.

That is not how it works. Agreed. The URL is just an address, if you move from that address, you, or the pic, don't live there anymore. I just wondered if Mr Stabby had come up with something new, being the sharpest blade in the kitchen drawer.
